Murray was putting in work but letting up too often. He was letting Martinez work the judges and though murray was pressing, his lack of killer instinct made Martinez seem like he wasnt being pushed back as much as it was him controlling distance. If Murray could have just pressed a bit harder or throw that extra punch at the end of his work rate it would have made such a difference.

Martinez lost a fight but he won the boxing match by working the judges and trying to negate murrays work with whats essentially trickery/illusion/flash/intelligence.

Ever watch a fight where youre like "I have so and so winning the match in rounds but he seems to have gotten his ass whooped overall...wtf how did this happen?" This is a good example imo.
So Martinez fooled the judges into thinking he'd won?

Doesn't change the fact he clearly lost to those that know what they're watching.

I was watching it with friends. They couldn't believe Martinez got the nod.

Happens all the time, it's what makes boxing good. We've seen other guys pull out wins by trying to make the opposition seem like they didnt do as much as they really did which makes THEM look like they did more by extension and they quietly win a round here and there. Boxing is scored real time so judges dont have time to reflect at the end of the fight who won.

Like I said... Murray may have won this if it was just a fight but when I watch the fight I prefer what Martinez did do when he did it as a sport. It's my preference but remember hindsight is 20/20. There's a reason most thought Martinez won the match directly after but some have changed their mind upon reflecting and further review. Murray could have done more it was his night to take. He didnt dare to be great imo. I'm sure it will mKe him better as Barker's loss made him better too.

Won't argue with your opinion because youre not really wrong either. Murray lost a close fight against the champ in most eyes at the time.

Robberies make boxing good? You don't half spout some ****. Like I said, the Sergio defenders use all kinds of convoluted excuses.

Sergio said he would never rematch Murray. Even he knows he lost

:/... The fact Martinez universally is pretty much given at LEAST 4 guaranteed rounds makes the fight... Not a robbery. Robbery is Abril vs Rios. Murray-Serg was a close fight where the champ closed the show in his hometown and got the nod. Even Murray said he lost. :/...

Jesus man, dont gotta be so salty.

You're being irrational...like the Pac fans who hang on to the roid punch of luck of Marquez as if it was some bogus illegal move that he brought out of his yugioh deck.
