Ward is not disliked much, you must be on this forum too much if you think a lot of people "DISLIKE HIM"

Most of his "HATE" comes form bitter Froch and Kessler fans so they constantly post negative **** about him every chance they get "Nobody Cares About Ward" "Ward Is Boring" blah blah blah

He is considered #2 P4P but 99% of the Boxing Writers and by a very high % of REAL Boxing fans and not the fake Online Trolling Boxing Fans!

A lot of people don't like Ward cos he's black (yes, I know he's mixed race but he's viewed as African-African). There's a whole bunch of people who simply don't like black fighters.

Then you've got faqqot-ass European posters don't like him cos he outclassed Froch, Kessler and Abraham.

The kid to me is class. The way he fights, talks and conducts himself is just awesome to me. Even his trash-talking is interesting.

I'm glad he doesn't ****** it up like Mayweather and Broner. He could easily sell his soul and adopt the persona of the loudmouth black like those other two idiots but the boy keeps it ****ing real. He just comes to fight, no bullshiet.
Naw say it ain't so they have people who don't like black fighters on this site!!!!

this post sums it up nicely.

I would also add that he refuses to go up or down in weight to challenge himself. He'd rather stay in a division he clinched his way to victory in. He knows Kovalov and GGG would snatch his boring clinching soul.

I don't like his mauling wrestling hold with one hand hit with the other hand style. It's boring and it's also illegal but he gets away with it in California. He is often a dirty fighter bending or breaking the rules. I like the fact he does not trash talk and he has been a good champion fighting top opposition including his next fight. He is a very good fighter and he has proven that. I think the son of God name is conceited and arrogant but that's his decision to be called that so it's no big deal. I don't really dislike him and I respect his skill but he is not one of my favorites and I'll be hoping he loses to Rodriguez.

the SOG nickname is cheesy as all get out, but it's not meant in the light you're portraying.

christians believe that we're all "sons of god." it's not meant to distinguish him as the only son of god. that's an extremely vain idea, and if you're a christian that's a huge sin. i'm not saying ward isn't vain. he's an undefeated pro boxer with a world championship. you have to be extremely confident to get where he's at. if you weren't confident when you got going, you were by the time you got there. either that, or you lose.

                to answer the TS question:
ward doesn't have the personality of mayweather, or the style of pacquiao. those guys had much more "hate" than ward, but people also love those guys. ward doesn't have that love. maybe that's why you feel like he's very hated.

people ward to the degree that they will watch him fight on HBO, and believe him to be the second best fighter on the planet. he's not going to be an endearing fighter unless something changes. i wouldn't expect himi to ever make PPV. something would have to change.

manny pacquiao has a compelling story. his style was incredible. in and out motion in constancy, and a buzzsaw of hard punches. floyd mayweather is a compelling personality. his boxing is much more picturesque than ward's. floyd's style to the layman is all about clean, eye catching punches. he doens't hurt guys, but he lands perfect stuff that the layman can appreciate.

will the layman ever appreciate ward's work and strength inside, or his ability to diffuse an opponent from the outside? i doubt it. it can be very ugly. even when he's boxing a world class guy's doors off (froch, for example,) he makes it look ugly.

the people who really hate ward are europeans. ward completely undressed guys that have given european boxing a lot of pride in the past half decade or so, in froch and kessler. that ward not only beat them, but made it look easy, undermined the legitimacy of european boxing. these were two of europe's very best at the time, and ward completely undressed them.

This. I wish he was more active but I enjoy watching him fight. I hope he fights GGG and Chavez Jr and then takes over at 175. Thad be something special.

Hes easily the most gifted guy at 160-175 since Prime Jones and Hopkins.

Well, most Floyd fans don't like him because he's running dead even with Floyd on the pfp list. (I think He's a better fighter myself regardless of weight).

Then the European fans, (no disrespect to them), don't like him cause he sonned their fighters easily.

Then there are the blatant racists (who have been put on a leash thank heavens), who simply don't like anything Black.

Finally there are the people who don't like anyone who live for Jehovah God.
