If his opposition fared much better elsewhere.. then you have your answer.. we go on what we have... we don't go on mythical fights that never occurred & what he's done in a boxing ring.. no one has ever been able to duplicate... add to that his physical size advantage over almost every boxer that has ever laced them up & that's your REAL worth indicator.. talking about stuff that has never happened or won';t occur anytime soon to diminish something that has happened isn't logical but I guess in a boxing forum it is. Focus on his achievements & on what he's done in a boxing ring like I do & you'll cleaRly have raised your boxing IQ.
he cherry picked his whole career..he's not an ATG & he may not even get in the hall of fame... if you get bored here are some sanders fights...

lewis made voluntary defences against Bruno, McCall, briggs, botha, golota, Tyson, holyfied, vitali klitschko, Rahman, phil Jackson... he crushed Ruddock & beat Morrison, mercer, tony tucker, grant, tua... only klitschko worshippers look at vitali like you do. i look at guys like lennox on who they beat not what they look like or all these stats, etc. he made voluntary defences against 7 world champions (former of course but still top opposition). he hated mandatories & dumped belts & went for the bigger fish. i think my IQ is fine. i'm not a fanboy... i'm just a longtime HW boxing fan...

First of all he had a WBO strap & a perfect 27-0 27 ko record up until that unfortunate two minute break in between the 9th & the 10 rd of the Byrd fight... he was seen as a big poosy (we get it) but seeing how he fought with one of the most grotesque cuts ever seen in a championship title bout a few fights later.. he should've gotten a big apology from the boxing public & Hbo announcers who basically called him cowardly without giving him the benefit of the doubt.

If you ask me it took mental fortitude & balls to quit in the manner he did knowing everyone was going to throw him under the bus.... he was willing to die in that ring that night vs Lewis just to prove everyone's opinion of him was faulty.... he was no Golota... instead of being praised for going to war with Lennox... he gets dissed for the end result & the cut stoppage.. not too many would've fought on in that manner & still throwing & landing more than Lewis for each & every single rd.

He went through four separate injuries just to face his mandatory & Rahman... trust me he was dying to close Rahman's trap but wasn't healthy enough to do so. Comes back 4 yrs later & gets back his belt without tuneup & completely dismantles the fighter who was borrowing it in Peter... I would've preferred the beatdown administered to Rahman or Maskaev who were talking shet but these guys couldn't beat certain fighters & therefor got spared beatdowns as they didn't have belts.

while mike Tyson was the undisputed heavyweight champion holding all 3 world titles the WBO decided to start a belt of their own much like the IBO... here is your first ever WBO title fight with the most worthy of contenders in the world ranks...

notice all the good fighters vacated the WBO belt... it's lineage is pretty weak don't you think?

Do all of you even realize that 7 out of the last 16 opponents Vitali has faced have ONLY been stopped by him & have YET to be stopped by anyone else?

                1) Manuel Charr has fought 25 other fighters

                2) Tomasz Adamek has fought 50 other fighters

                3) Odlanier Solis has fought 20 other fighters

                4) Chris Arreola has fought 38 other fighters

                5) Kirk Johnson has fought 40 other fighters

                6) Larry Donald has fought 49 other fighters

                7) Vaughn Bean has fought 50 other fighters

A total of 272 other fighters couldn't do what Klitschko did in 7 opportunities.

4 of these 7 fighters have fought for a belt elsewhere.

This is a TRUE indicator of Klitschko's abilities... all that other babble about opposition he hasn't faced is just that.. focus on what he's done in the ring THAT no one else has been able to do & you'll see his career in an accurate manner.... trust me when I tell you this.... doesn't matter who's across the ring from him.

It's all about Klitschko.. all opposition does is be a witness.. stop falsely making them out to be the story so you can diminish Vitali's worth.. when one can't dispute all out greatness one tends to diminish the next best thing & that is to say the opposition ain't all that.. well the opposition ain't all that because Vitali Klitschko has seen to it that no one dares get daylight on his clock.

Well.. once Vitali started wearing the belt.. it became instantly legit.. Im sure if we go back to all the federation belts in there debuts we'd see a bevy of famous tussels.. lmao!

As long as it's now in the hands of a Klitschko... it's all legit now. don't you think.

i think wlad is going to the hall of fame & what he has done is 10 times better (except the last few years)then vitali. vitali has rode wlad's coattails for years. watch my klitschko fights. many are in English & wlad was not too excited at first with the thought of vitali coming back to fight peter. he was 1 belt from being undisputed. wlad is 37 & vitali has been holding up the division for years. it's wlad whose done great things & he's an Olympic gold medalist. outside klitschko fans the most memorable things about vitali is the byrd fight & the lewis fight.
