Wait at least til he beats Agbeko sheeesh XD but the Quality of opposition GGG faced was not all that impressive, I would have to say Garcia or Rigo Quality over quantity. If Rigo beats Agbeko he should get it because he is the only one who disposed of a top 5 p4p guy of those we mentioned.

But lets be real pigs will fly before Rigo gets any credit from anybody who he stands as a threat to.

      I'd give it Rigo.

Should be Rigondeaux or Bradley, assuming Rigondeaux beats Agbeko. Golovkin should not be in the running at all, not seriously.

If Sosa beats Yaegashi, it will be hilarious to hear why he's NOT the Fighter of the Year. "Uh, cause, uh small..." "Uh, US TV" Um, uh...

No one will just admit: I'm too lazy to watch small fighters and don't have a clue what he's actually done this year. I have two months to educate.
LOL. Nobody ever talks about the little guys. No networks, no media outlets and threads only generate like 5-6 responses at most. Juan Fransciso Estrada had a very solid year too.

I would say Mayweather. The guy fought twice this year and made the Ghost disappear and Canelo look like s**t it's not his fault he made it look easy.

Or I wouldn't Mind Rigondeaux getting it. He made Donaire back pedal the whole 12th round and was looking for the KO.

When he didn't have to the south paw was pitching a shut out.

Agree. If he had a third fight, I'd make his case too. Plenty of people talk about them...just not in English. That doesn't mean his body of work doesn't exist this year.

              Still has to beat Akira.

If he does, he's had the best in-ring year of anyone in boxing.

                No Golovkin is nowhere near.

I would say stevenson,,, he has done the most this year,, he went from 168 avoided contender to HBO darling, lineal 175 champ in the last few months,, pretty amazing rise to the top,,,,,

Rigo also has a shot if he destroys agebako

GGG has had a good year, but really doesnt have any top level wins,, beating ishida, macklin, rosado, and stevens is a great year but none of those guys are champs or were considered big threats unlike stevenson vs dawson or rigo vs donaire

Kovalev is the guy to beat at 175. Stevenson fought a washed-up Dawson, and won against a limited Cloud.

I'd go with Rigo or GGG way before Stevenson.

Right now I still say Mayweather because of how one-sided he made the biggest fight of 2013. He was also phenomenal against Guerrero, so good that before the fight there was talk of Guerrero being p4p top ten, and now you never hear his name mentioned!

Bradley's obviously had a great year, but I think he'd be content with settling for Fight of the Year, for his scrap against Provodnikov (who also had an excellent 2013).
Golovkin is still missing that marquees opponent to cement a Fighter of the Year candidacy, in my opinion. In my eyes if Stevenson knocks out Bellew, he's more deserving because Stevenson KO'd the lineal champ in Dawson then took out two other top contenders.

Rigondeaux beating Donaire I rank as the second most impressive victory of 2013 (behind Mayweather's ass whooping of Canelo), but fighting Joseph Agbeko is a bit of a come-down. Not his fault obviously, all about those promoter disputes.

So here's how I rank it:
                      1) Mayweather
                      2) Bradley
                      3) Golovkin
                      4) Stevenson (will jump to #2 on my list if he KOs Bellew)
                      5) Rigondeaux
                      6) Danny Swift
                      7) Provodnikov
