I think Golovkin has had the most impressive year by far. 4 fights and looked like a monster in each one. He is by far the biggest phenomenon in boxing right now.

If Edgar Sosa beats Akira Yaegashi, it should be Sosa. No one else has THREE high quality wins this year. He would. Still a big if, but knocking off the lineal Fly king would be a capper.

I'd have Garcia ahead of Golovkin. Golovkin isn't in my top five for the year. Good TV work, but the opp quality is so/so.

I'm really looking forward to that fight. I'm not sure both guy have been looking good in their last few fights. I'm think Yaegashi will win a close decision, bu it Sosa dies win I agree he would definitely be in the running for fighter of the year. But even if he stopped Yaegashi I doubt he would get the award, flyweights usually don't get much credit for heir accomplishments.
