Removing part of the skull is standard procedure for operating on the brain. Might be a small piece with the diameter of an inch. Needles to say, he won't be fighting for a long time.

As i read it the small piece removed from his skull was mainly to alleviate the swelling of his brain .

Man looking at the fight you could see his face looked huge, he was just too damn determined but, you guys are right his corner should have stopped it sooner. It's too bad because he will never be the same.

I cringed at the thought of it. Sometimes we forget these are fragile humans just like you and me and want to see more blood and violence.
