I agree. For GGG having so much experience (amateur, Olympics, and the pros) he makes so many mistakes and shows so many vulnerabilities. I get that he's an offensive minded fighter, but that doesn't mean he needs to totally neglect his defense because he feels he can bully any opponent. He's gonna pay the price for it one day.

It's quite clear he can easily be outboxed and counter. People talk about his jab and how well he uses it but when Stevens was getting a rhythm in some rounds he was getting out jabbed. He seem to have to reset everything he was trying to do once Stevens hit him. Also he shows that he can only come forward and need medium range to get off his shots. His distance and using angles aren't very smart.. He will get ****d shortly once a true boxer get in the ring with him. He's good but not great.. Matthyse was better than him.

I consider Stevens B level and Macklin A level.

stephens is not a B fighter and macklin is definitely not an A lol.stephens is a c/d fighter while macklin is a c fighter.stephens has 1 decent win,has never even hurt somebody of note,so im not really sure where this power thing comes from,and macklin might have a worse resume and less power

You wouldn't catch me hyping up Stevens with his stature and T. rex arms, parellel legged stance and squared body with a limited jab as above a C - fighter. He tries to look like a cerebral fighter but he is not one to adapt to what's presented, just preprogrammed and has to reset when he can't move forward. All someone needs I do is time him and stay in his chest. He's not an A level fighter nor do he have any swagger for people to be riding his dick so hard.

OK. There are some people who overrate GGG but this is ridiculous. GGG is the real deal. I don't mean that he is the GOAT or even a sure lock to being an ATG but he's the best in the middleweight division right now - 2013. I think the Martinez of 4 years ago would have pushed GGG to his limit and could have beaten him (we don't know what other gears GGG has). But right now GGG is The Man in the middleweight division. Whatever he is - he isn't a bum.

In the fight I watched Golovkin won every round clearly, knocked Stevens down, closed his eye and made his mom leave the areana. Golovkin took some punches because he can, he wants to fight aggressive and Stevens was supposed to be a great puncher but never really did much to stop the aggression. Max and Lampley were trying to make it sound close but it was not.
