Pac did his job like always and brought it. Rios turned into Clottey. I officially drop Rios from my team. His balls are not as big as he claims.
Its all fun and games until they get in there with Manny!

He didn't get hit every time he threw. What fight were you watching?

Pacquaio would throw combos at will and Rios wouldn't return fire. Then Pacquaio would repeat, and again, no response. No retaliation. He was just standing there. It was so odd. Disappointing from Rios.

Good call man. haha. I think that Pac's power is so sneaky that it makes guys like Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, Rios gun shy. Rios can talk all the **** he wants; but he looked HORRIBLE out there. Not because he didn't win, but because he didn't go for broke. Today we saw Froch go for broke. Rios just smiled and survived.

And he IS a punching bag.

        • Big News !! Pac looking dominant against a slow stationnary come forward fighter, who would have thought.

          • Rios tasted Pac's speed/power early and clamed up a la Clottey.
It made him hesistant to throw.

which is what makes JMM great and unique. He has a way weaker chin than Rios, Margarito, Clottey, or Mosley and yet is willing to trade.

His heart is the only one that matches Pac in the ring. Hence the great rivalry.

YOu said it best. Very disappointing performance. He wasn't throwing, it was like he wasn't trying. No wild punches, no risk, didn't even try to counter punch. What a joke!

                • Disappointed in the fight, and that's really no fault of Manny. Rios fought scared, it was Clottey and Margarito all over again... he ruined the fight by lack of exchanges and a ****** game plan. If a fighter has an iron chin and uses a high guard... you're really never gonna knock em out unless they start throwing bombs...

Pacquaio looked great, and did as I thought, boxed beautifully and didn't make any ****** mistakes. If Rios didn't have his amazing chin he'd be knocked out brutally.

                  • Just got back home from watching the fight over at a neighbors.

Looked to me like Rios came in to get that check, and not much more. I don't know if it was because he respected Pacs power that much, or what, but Rios is a usually a high output guy, and he wasn't letting his hands go. I'm a little buzzed, but I remember one of the scores being 118-110 I think, and I can't think of a single round Rios won.

Another thing is, I think Pac might have not been on full kill. Seemed to me like he could have poured it on in the later rounds and got a stoppage, but might have been gun shy from Marquez, saw that Rios really didn't pose much of a threat after round 6 or so, and just kept on putting rounds in the bank.

Anyways, Rios doesn't belong at this level. Pac might have slipped some, but not as far as to get knocked out with a jab in the third round.

What? Did you start watching this sport yesterday? What makes him unique, if anything, is his unparalled counter punching effectiveness. And getting knocked down doesn't equal a weak chin. Getting put to sleep does. And there is no rivalry. There was a rivalry. It's over.
