That's kinda how I see it happening, except I think once Stevens feels Golovkins power he's gonna start swinging for the fences and then get flattened.

    This is just my opinion.

I think he will go back into the ropes and attempt to land haymakers. If anybody has seem his fight with Brinkley, he got discouraged and just backed up

I hope im wrong, because i wanna see a real fight

Anybody that is thinking golovkin is going to walk through stevens is in for a rude awakening if stevens can take his punches when he has to stevens can and will stop him, and not every fighter that comes from the eastern block nations are good fighters there are just as many who are lousy fighters that never make it golovkin is more hype than substance and I have a strong inclination that he is about to be exposed in this fight. If he comes to fight and doesn't run and if stevens can take his punches when he has to golovkin is getting koed, you heard it here first.

GGG is not from an Eastern Block Nation. He's from Kazakhstan and if you recall the last Olympics MANY of the fighters from Kazakhstan are GREAT fighters. Also, GGG is not known for running - on the contrary..he's a pressure fighter and last, Stevens will not be able to endure the sledgehammer punching power that GGG has in BOTH hands. Come fight night the non believers will witness what many here and what HBO already knows.....GGG is a beast.

When was Stevens ever a hypejob? I never heard anything about the guy before he became the next opponent for Golovkin.

No doubt that's what will happen. Stevens will crumble and back away and swing for the fences the first time Golovkin lands hard. That's where it might get dangerous for GGG, but he should be smart enough to finish Stevens off and avoid a disastrous shot.

You never heard of the "Chin Checkers"?

A while back Jaidon Codrington and Curtis Stevens were both popular prospects in New York and were featured on Broadway Boxing a lot. Together they were known as The Chin Checkers. But back in 2005 Codrington nearly got knocked dead by Allan Green within 18 seconds of the first round. It's almost scary to watch.

After that, Stevens' popularity slowly but surely dwindled away into obscurity. So, perhaps calling him a "hypejob" isn't exactly fair but there was a fair amount of hype surrounding him.

The fight I was referring to:

Stevens is gonna think it's '94 again talking to BIG, not realizing he had a near death experience

Anyone who uses the Brinkley fight as an example is being a little naïve. Otherwise, anyone would have used Adonis Stevenson's KO loss to Boone as a reason why Adonis could never beat the greater opposition in Dawson and Cloud. Understand one thing. History is littered with examples of fighters losing to lesser comp and beating greater comp later. It is better to describe exactly why you think GGG or Stevens would win, instead of using former comp.
