Rosado admits he would have lost anyway as he wasn't prepared for the fight:

"Heavy Bag Team- GGG fights Stevens. What do you think of that fight?

Gabriel Rosado- Curtis Stevens is talkin’ a lot, you know, he’s talkin’ real crazy right now. GGG like I said, he is the top guy at 160. I think its gonna be real tough to beat GGG. I don’t see it going past three rounds. And I see GGG winning.

Heavy Bag Team- Yeah I mean its going to be a slugfest, first one to land a big shot.

Gabriel Rosado- Its not going to be a slugfest, I think once he feels GGG’s power. Look I went into the GGG fight with the mentality of a Junior Middleweight, and that’s the mistake I made. When I was fighting at Junior Middleweight I was overpowering them with my size. When I went to fight GGG, I made the mistake of a little man and tried to box too much. GGG’s power is real. I think GGG not only can he punch, not only does he have knockout power, but GGG has a chin. He’s never been down."

Yeah it would have been good. Too bad Curtis Stevens isn't a hard puncher.

I don't see many of them here...

(I'm not a Glovkin's fan "per se"... I only watch fighters coming from the boxing school in "that part of the world" since the sixties...)

I'm sure Golovkin is aware of the dangerous elements of Stevens' style. Do you actually think he's going to be unprepared to take a decent punch? Stevens has obviously underrated Golovkin and anyone who thinks Stevens has a good shot at beating Golovkin, who has more power than Stevens has ever experienced in the ring, needs a good shot themselves.
To call Golovkin a hype job is just pure BS. Compared to fighters nowadays, he is as legit as they come. He fights way more often than the average boxer in his weight class, he knocks out all his opponents with obvious power and at times has problems getting top ranked opponents to challenge him. He has all the signs of a true champion with serious knock out power. Anyone who doubts Golovkin will hopefully be silenced after he takes care of Stevens.

Stevens is short for the weight class and is not that murderous puncher they are making him to be. Odds are that GGG is going to win unless his chin doesn't hold which it has shown that it is pretty good

Well no, not so many here..I'm a fan but I like to think I keep it in perspective, as do you IMO.

What I was kinda getting at was that GGG has impressed and his limits are yet to be reached so it's hard to say how much the hyperbole surrounding him is or is not justified.

I'm thinking Stevens would perhaps have done better waiting 'til after the fight to make judgements on Golovkins ability or lack thereof, however

Stevens was quite the hypejob himself until people realized he'd be nothing more than Broadway Boxing level fighter.

He might have to eat his words lying hurt on the canvass.

Been wrong on many occasions, but none the less... GGG smacks Stevens down in a brutal beating. Never seen Stevens fight so I have that going against me, but I am impressed with GGG.
