All time great lists vary one hell of a lot depending on who is making the lists. No two boxing fans or experts will ever have the same fighters in the same order in a top 15 all time great list.Hopkins being rated as one of the 10 or 15 best fighters af all time sounds reasonable to me.I don't think his record of 20 successful defenses of the middleweight title in a row against the best available challengers will be equaled or surpassed. I don't think there will ever be a fighter who will be so successful at such a high level as Hopkins at his age of 48. He is a wonderful freak of nature and one of a kind.
Hell no. BHop is my favourite active fighter but no way. Think about the likes of SRR, SRL, Hearns, Duran, Ali etc. The last active fighter I can remember that could crack the top 25 would have been either Holmes, Whitaker or Julio Cesar Chaver Sr.

Nah. If there wasn't one before last night, there definitely isn't one after it. He fought Murat who isn't that good to begin with and on top of that was coming from a 1 year layoff.
Hopkins is over-rated. He is only as good as his opponent. His record is filled with under sized HOF'mers. His 20 title defenses came against??? When he fought Pavlik, Pavlik was an alcoholic and under sized. When he fought Tarver, Tarver was drained after making Rocky and had to lose a lot of weight and quick. Cloud is a bum and mental midget. Pascal is a punk and mental midget. Hagler was a better fighter and is the greatest middleweight ever. Him and Leonard beat Hopkins and Robinson. Why is Robinson considered the best middleweight ever? Because he came first? Baffles me.
He holds records for most successful consecutive defenses of world titles (27), most title fights (37), most title-fight victories (31) and he is after Joe Louis with (23) for most title defenses won by knockout (21). Chávez also has the longest undefeated streak in boxing history, 13 years.
