Mighty fine corner you painted yourself into. Have fun leaving footprints as you walk out of it.

Pacquiao and Mayweather had agreed to unlimited random urine testing, but Mayweather also insisted on random blood testing, even though the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which would oversee the bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, requires only urine testing.

Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KOs) didn't want blood testing but later relented and agreed to three blood tests: one during the week of the kickoff news conference, which would have taken place next week, one random test to be conducted no later than 30 days before the fight and a final test in his dressing room after the fight. Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs) would be subject to the same testing procedures.

When they could not come to an agreement, Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, which represents Mayweather, turned to a mediator, retired judge Daniel Weinstein, who had successfully mediated a series of disputes between Top Rank and Golden Boy in 2007.

But after nine hours in mediation on Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., and further attempts to come to a resolution on Wednesday failed, the fight was pronounced dead by the Pacquiao camp.

      Quote:

Schaefer believes that Arum's position of leaving it up to the commission is him "moving the goal post."

"The pressure is on Pacquiao," he said. "They keep moving the goal post like they did with the $10 million weight penalty [if either fighter is over the contract maximum 147 pounds], which we agreed to. They didn't think we would accept that. When we did, they had to find something else to make into a problem. So now they're saying it's up to the commission instead of wanting to negotiate the drug testing with us. I don't want to hear that if the fight breaks up it was because of us. When they came to us with a $10 million weight penalty, they didn't expect us to say yes. They thought we'd say no. So when we said yes, they had to come up with something else. Now we're off USADA, and they are going to come and say only urine testing if that's what the commission says. It's really frustrating.

"We are making compromises. It's a two-way street. If they back off again, I will shut off my phone and spend the rest of the Christmas and New Year's time with my family, and good luck to all of these fools."

While Arum is making plans for an alternative fight for Pacquiao against former junior welterweight titlist Paulie Malignaggi -- who has also accused Pacquiao of using PEDs -- if the Mayweather fight falls apart, Schaefer said he hasn't discussed an alternative with Mayweather.

"We haven't discussed anybody else because the fight we want to bring to the fight fans is the one with Pacquiao," he said. "The focus is on getting Mayweather-Pacquiao done while Bob is making calls everywhere on the Malignaggi fight. That shows his focus is not on Mayweather.

      Pacquiao fans are unbelievable.
show the contract. dude said he needed to see Manny sign the contract where all was agreed upon. show the contract for Floyd that he agreed to Manny s requests.

Really? Is that why USADA has already caught 24 athletes in 2013 ??

Wait.... so Floyd says he has a signed contract, doesn't show it and he gets attacked? His word ain't bond, right?

Then, Manny says he's agreed to all tests, fails to sign a contract doing so, or show it on paper in already and we're supposed to take his word for it?......

Where's the difference in both guys saying one thing without doing much?

Didn't he have about 4 fights since that time, and the last one him getting knocked out by Juan who was "supposedly" on drugs?? So saying and doing is two different things.

Again is this not Pac's first time taking random blood test?? Don't bring up other camps we are talking about Pac right now... You can't answer the question so you are trying hard to win a losing battle. Give up, it looks bad right now.
He agreed to FLOYD"s testing demands in 2011 and is now on board with testing. Did every champ since 2011 do testing??? No. Is every champ doing testing now??? No. It's not like he is the last person on earth who is agreeing to testing. The bottom line is he agreed in 2011 for the Floyd fight and has decided since to do the testing going forward. Live with it or take Prozak.

Although its not Manny saying it, Bob Arum best interest is to defend Manny so why would he lie here?

You have ZERO idea what you are talking about!

If that's the case, why is Pac asking for the tests against Rios??

Not true at all it was Mayweather that agreed to all of Pacduckiao's demands ring size, gloves, a very hefty penalty for not making weight, and even agreed to 50/50 split. All Mayweather demanded was the OST test now would think Pacduckiao such an honorable man and champion would not have anything to hide but yet he did not accept and went on to make extremely less money to fight a punching bag. So I would suggest you do you research before you put a comment that makes you look completely clueless to the sport of boxing. And your credibility means *****! Pac fans are soo blind and they tend to forget about the first negotiations and how he backed out because of OST. Just like how they accuse Marquez and Marquez was willing to test as long as Pacduckiao got tested but we all know what happened.
