      You need help
i enjoy watching boxing more than i would have money sitting in my account, I've got a mortgage and comfortable home living so it'd need to be loads more than what'd be 375k over here which would only really buy my house outright.

        It's ridiculous.

You would think they are all billionaires.

You know what I think you're on to something.

I re-read the thread topic... Would you stop to watch boxing for eternity for $700,000

I read it wrong. Obviously from the way OP worded it, he is wondering if we would stop whatever it is we are doing and watch boxing for eternity and get paid $700,000.

Yes, I would stop to watch boxing for eternity for $700,000. Sorry, I misunderstood. No wonder so many people voted yes.

Now it begs the question, why wouldn't you stop (making a sandwich, working, reading a book) TO watch boxing for eternity.

All you have to do is watch boxing all day every day. I would assume all other expenses are paid for, food and what not.

But what fights would it be?? Ahhh silver lining. Klitschko bros fights, B-Hop fights??

Could you pick your own fights to watch?? Need more info on which fights we would be stopping to watch.

Thanks for clearing that up somewhat, -Righteous-...green K sent.
Now I'm wondering if that's what he meant... But I think he meant if we would stop watching boxing for $700k.

Sadistic offers on the electronic ether. . . financial security Vs life's love lost . . . streets plagued with outbursts of aggression . . . a threat of public madness.

I'd snatch your spiteful proposal for a hold-all stuffed with bills. I'd do it for my family. Then live a life of bitter resentment. A thinly veiled urge for destruction buried deep into the black pit of the psyche. . . till it wormed it's way out.

Out on the street, hats slapped from the heads of strangers, the fixed blind stare of a hideous ogre, legs spaced like John Wayne, itching to pull the trigger on a violent spectacle. Flashes of incandescent rage on rain strewn paving. Pure pandemonium. Woman and child scream as their father/husband takes a beat down for no god-damn reason. Not that any sane person can see anyhow.

Flashing blue lights flashed on a gnarled expression. The soundtrack of sirens. Slamming of doors and stomping of boots. Gritted teeth frothing at insurmountable odds. The crashing of rosewood on cranium. "Thwack, thwack, thwack" Eyes blinking rhythmically up at a darkening sky as the light of consciousness grows dim.

            Nights in a cell.

Yes Sir. A wad of cash and a home for my family. Financial security with a down payment of mental instability. Passion sold for a price. Rage untethered from its discipline. Happiness on hold. Trinkets abound.

Welcome to the lunatic asylum of capitalist reason. "**** you. Pay me."

some of you poor guys will think i'm crazy for saying that, and i'm not saying i have 750K in a bank somewhere, but it's the truth.
Yes it can, it has actually been scientifically proven that money can buy happiness. You may be well-off or get paid just enough to be financially happy, but I am pretty sure those homeless people asking for food/money in the train have completely different opinions than you on whether or not money would make them happy.

But the same sport you're turning down $700k for, money comes before YOU (the fans). Money comes before everything in boxing.

                No.

I'm fine financially and boxing is my biggest love aside from my family.

Studies also show that money increases happiness only to a certain point, which I believe is around 60k a year.

Obviously if someone is barely able to get by this offer may be more alluring, as being able to eat, drink, have shelter, etc. are more important than being able to watch boxing.

                      Honestly? Yes.
Not that I need the money. I don't.

I'm a college student with rich parents and a will left over from my Uncle. My friends are rich, my girl is rich, my University is full of rich kids. Money is not an issue.

The reason I say yes.. is because quite simply I don't love boxing enough.

I have fun watching current fights and rewatching old Lewis fights.. but I don't live through boxers and I don't really get emotionally attached to any current boxer the way some of you do.

I'll probably spend the 700,000 on a wild ass vacation to Hawaii... buy another car, buy 200 new out fits, and what's left Ill buy ******* and get high for a few weeks..
