700k isn't a lot of money and I'm not some rich individual. The only thing 700k could do is make you live a more comfortable life, it wouldn't actually have a serious impact on your lifestyle. You could buy a decent home or make some stable investments with it, you'd still have to work a 9-5 ( or put hours in if you decide to start a business).

I can accept that people would accept the money in favour of boxing, but I find it difficult to understand the mindset of people being critical of those that'd reject the offer. I ultimately want money in life so that I can enjoy my life, abandoning something I enjoy a lot for money that isn't going to add a lot to my life would counterproductive. Only way I could see myself making that decision was if I was forced into a corner, e.g. I have children whilst I'm struggling to pay the mortgage.

Boxing ended for you a couple weeks back homie... Sad to see you're still hanging around.
It did? That's weird cause I was just watching it this weekend even with the UFC going on. Hmmm

UFC here i come!!! for $700,000 i would. boxing is fading away anyways, after floyd/pac is gone, its done. Theres still a lot of young talented fighters but none of them can create the buzz floyd/pac can.

Lol all these people acting like they got money to throw around. Like I said, when they see that money in front of them they'd fold and find an alternative. UFC, football, etc.

$700,000 IS a lot of money, (it would take me 11 years to make that money at my job)...especially in the context in which it is being discussed; for what is being asked.

I'm 27 and I could live off of that money for the rest of my life. Of course I would still have to work, but I have to work anyway.

Maybe I don't like boxing as much as the rest of you guys. But I'd find myself something to fill the void.

I've been watching boxing 18 years (Im 27 like you) and I'd still take the money. Like you, I'd still be working but that's money that I could use for my daughter. Whether it's for a house, her school or whatever. I love boxing but guess what? I love my daughter more.

                    Think about it...$700,000.

I'm sure some of you have terminally ill family members. Family, friends in need, having trouble making ends meet.

The things you could do, forget about yourself, but for others, is endless. Let's say your mom has cancer. Treatment, medicine everything is going to cost tens of thousands of dollars.

But don't worry, because you're sitting at home watching boxing!

To those of you in the "$700,000 isn't a lot of money club" I guess it's just a drop in the bucket.

That isn't life changing money to you, for something as asinine as giving up watching two men punch each other?
