They didnt voluntarily say they would drop weight, and they were washed up fighters. When it comes to fighting a legit threat like Canelo, the weight may make a difference in how the fight plays out. Canelo is already too big for Floyd and Floyd was pretending like those arm shots, and body shots werent hurting. But they were! He gets props for walking him down and staying in the pocket!!

Oh , so now were giving bias toward the style of fighter floyd has to face if he is bigger.
I got it, slow, flat footed, no accuracy, no hopers right.

Most people on here say GGG is overated.
          So which is it.

I was talking pounds and weight.
And yes, roys legacy is sealed off that ruiz win. Losing the weigjt a whole other deal.
Floyds fans protect him . Cause they are undefeated with an asterisk too

My point. Roy did something floyd cant and wont
Thats taking a risk for legacy.

I always thought that it was more respectful to move up rather than move down. That's why Hop never got credit for beating Dlh.

roy fought ruiz because his 2 most lucrative potential fights Tito (after the MW tourney) and Tyson both got derailed when each lost.

Broner dropped down for his 1st belt. You think it's more respectful if you drop down for a random Argie than for Floyd?

Because Oscar and Cotto didn`t come in weighing at 172 like Canelo did in the Trout fight.Floyd comes in on average 150 pounds at junior middleweight, even Floyd has his limits on how big of a fighter he fights. If Floyd was fighting a fighter that he out-weighed by 15-20 pounds or more,a lot of people on this board would raise hell. But its ok for Floyd to be fighting guys that outweighs him by 15-20 pounds or more.
