He was asked whether he could go down to 152 without weakening himself, he can't possibly know that unless he's recently fought at that weight, which he hasn't.

And he's not a big star and doesn't have a large ethnic following, you need one or the other to fight Floyd.

Also as a fan of both fighters, I wouldn't wanna see GGG be a corpse in the ring against Floyd.

GGG has done nothing to earn this fight, he has zero names on his resume.

Not that I think this fight should happen but who did Ortiz, Guerrero and Canelo (aside from Trout) have on their resumes?

Canelo fought 40 USPS workers and got handed a free belt against Hatton..........Matthew Hatton. His first real step up was Trout and then he fought Floyd.

Golovkin and Floyd should and will not fight. But it's not due to his resume. He's a legit champion at 160. Golovkin hasn't even had a chance to build a resume yet. He's repeatedly states he's willing to fight any and everyone. His career hasn't been handpicked opponents to hype him up as the future and make him look good. In fact the reason why it even took so long for him to get semi-decent fights and step on the scene is because of his dispute with Universum

Roy moved up 30 pounds to be outweighed 30 pounds .
Floyd dont wanna risk that.ask your self could floyd do that?

            Breakdown:

Floyd started at 130 and went to 154.
24 pounds ,the latest move up from 147 to 151 Was a 4 pound jump
And he was outweighed by 14 pounds.

Roy started at 154 and went to 205. 51 pounds.
He went from 175 to 205 ( 30 pounds ) to be out weighed by
30 pounds and took home the belt.

total pounds from roys career start to ruiz. weight on fight night 235
            (81pounds total)

Total pounds from floyds career start to canelos Catchweight fight night weight
            Of 165 (35 pounds total)

Fighting GGG/bhop at 160 is like roy fighting ruiz
You have to remember that even though Roy was outweighed by Ruiz, Ruiz was still Ruiz. Huggybear with a decent chin and an OK punch power nothing special but hardly any skills. Probably the worst HW champion of all times. If you could even call him that.

GGG is a straight up beast. There's no comparison.

I think Floyd would be wise to stay at 147 for the rest of his career. There's plenty of fights that can be made there.

Bad mistake for him saying this, because if the fight happens even NEXT September, he will already be too big to cut that much weight!!! All he has to do is keep bringing in viewers, and Floyd will have a reason to do it!!!! I dont want to hear any excuses!!!!

Yea but Roy Paid the price for going up and down in weight. If he wants to go up, he CANT come back down. So it will have to be a permanent choice. Or maybe his last few fights. I think he should stay at 154 indefinately. WW is dead. Let Broner play at ww, and Floyd can beat Lara, Martinez, Molina etc at 54.
