when the ref asked him if he wanted to quit, alvarado took a long moment to think about it, and out came "no" in a defeated, and almost whispering tone

he quit, and he was all there

but im not the type that makes a big deal of this sort of stuff, esspecially when a guy is taking the sort of beating alvarado was taking

Eh, the fight was over. I mean, it's not like he quit because he had a little cut or he sprained his ankle. He got up from those knockdowns and tried to make it happen.

Hold nothin against Mike, Provodnikov just made him his *****.

When Weeks didn't stop the fight and refused to let Alvarado's corner stop the fight and then asked Alvarado if he could continue I'd have responded "****, if you won't save me and won't let my corner save me then I'd be a fool to go back out".

All the respect to Mike. He fought like a warrior. Nobody had to endure any more of that.

Ruslan did to Mike what he almost did to Bradley. Took him into deep waters and drowned him.

Props to Mike, though, for getting in there with a Great White Shark.

I wouldn't worry about it. Since boxing has become less popular, there's less jackasses around to rake quitters over the coals. Atleast that's an improvement over the days of idiot casual fans.

No shame in quitting or stopping the fight, you have to know when to call it quit. Provo is a relentless punch who had Bradley down on his face many times at 147.

It's just nice to see a Margarito type of fighter/fights sometimes. A fighter who just keeps on coming even though they might be down on the cards.
