He is still with banner Promotions, but Bob obviously has a very friendly working relationship with them and likes Provo by getting him big fights with his own stable. Bob knew there was a big chance his man would lose this fight. Everyone knew it.

Does GBP still work with any other promoters? I know Gary Russell is not truly with them. I am not sure what relationship he has with them.

It doesn' matter who he fought after Ortiz.... the fact remains, Ortiz got train wrecked by Maidana... Marcos was available, and yet Floyd chose Ortiz for the fight he had with Berto.... so what? Ortiz name should never come up no matter who he beat. He got knocked out by Marcos Maidana. Fight Maidana then. That's like watching Danny Garcia beat Matthysse... Matthysse rebounds and wins a string of fights, and you choose to fight Matthysee because of his recent wins, as opposed to fight the guy that dogged Matthysse to start with.... ****** reasoning on your part, rube.

You idiot !!! Ortiz and Maidana took place at 140 and 6 fights prior. Ortiz was coming off a 6 fight win streak before he fought Floyd.

Floyd fought Ortiz after Ortiz beat Berto not directly after the Maidana loss. Ortiz had 6 fights after he quit against Maidana. Plus Maidana loss to Khan and Alexander after the Ortiz fight. Now remember this fight took place in 2009 and it was over in 6 rounds. Ortiz and Floyd did not fight until 2011

Don't try to gas us about Rus and imitate that Matthysse type hype.

That's when guys get their asses kicked, and an alt like you disappears and later crawls out from under a rock with a new alt. Rus won, get over it. He still lost to Bradley.
AND you sound like some rube from the hood; you should have stayed in school punk. Bradley got a screwed decision over Provo. Provo gave hiim the beatdown of his life. In fact your homie Bradley even said... "I had to fight back in that last round, or I would have been stretched out"... his words verbatim. He went on to talk and talk and talk about "I dont' know if I have a concussion or not, but I think I have concussion like symptoms".... Bradley's exact words. Your boy doesn't sound like a 'champion'. Alvarado and Rios are nobodies. Bradley was handed Pacquiao's title and took to beatings in a row to Pac and Provo, and stayed away from a drug clean & tested Marquez... I'm still waiting to see Bradley resemble a champion and dominate someone. No way he ever gives Provo a rematch.

It doesn't matter if he won 12 in a row at 138. Fight the guy that knocked him out!!!

And that was another screw job.... nobody believed that Khan beat Maidana. In fact Khan refused to give Maidana a rematch. Now today, Khan can't stay off the canvas. The only fight Maidana did lose was the Alexander fight. DON't be telling us how a Provo fight makes sense with Matthysse. Provo deserves Danny Garcia.
