Ahhh, Pac crashed the P4P ratings after his first fight with Barerra, which was his featherweight debut. So he was very much considered P4P as a featherweight.

As for the "when he was considered a one handed fighter with speed and power." When did he stop being a one handed fighter with speed and power?

As for all the excuses about his distractions. I think they're just that, excuses. There's nothing wrong with Pac. He hasn't lost all that much in terms of physical gifts. The only thing that's happen to Pac is that during his lil Pacmania stretch, he was fighting less than elite oposition and was being glorified for it because the guys were bigger than him. But once he resumed fighting elite guys, who simply happen to be his size, he no longer was this god he was viewed as. And then the excuses come. He's not focused. He's not the same fighter. Blah, blah, blah. His fight against Margarito was one of the savage beaings I've seen laid on a fighter. And it was well documented that Pac was bull****tin' in training. If he's bull****'d his way through training for Rios. It probably won't matter much because Rios sux.

I'm not campaigning for his greatness and I'm not making excuses, nor am I hating on him as a fighter. Either you're trolling for the sake of trolling, or you're hating on his accomplishments as a future HOF entry. I was just stating that I'm wondering if Roach is still capable of reigning his ass in which has seemed to become more of a problem in recent years. I was just saying that this fight could either be good or bad for him. He's also not the same fighter, he's older.

I for one never really thought he would beat FMJr because of the style match up. He would pot shot Pac all night. That's what he does, because he's the more skilled boxer.

He was either 1 or 2 in the P4P rankings from 2006 on so I do stand corrected on that particular point, but I don't think the debate began until he beat DLH and starched Hatton.

we seriously are seeing the end of pac, he has been in so many wars, has gone up in so many weight classes to fight bigger guys, even now rios will outweigh him, he may have cemented his legacy as this generations greatest boxer (also fighter of the decade) but sadly it has caught up with him

Guerrero prior to losing to Floyd had his last loss in 05/06 and avenged his only defeat. a 7 year win streak is a lot better than losing your last fight, and moving up in weight.

Rios's best chance is to catch Pac with something big early. Once Pac gets comfortable its over for Rios.
All the training in the world won't change the fact that Pac is a superior athlete and in this fight that will make all the difference. Rios has had success with guys that are willing to stay in the pocket and ****. Pac's footwork will be overwhelming for Rios and be the difference.
The way I see it after round 2 Rios will feel the big stage pressure and go head hunting. After that Pac catches his Hatton style.
