Why does everyone still rank Andre Ward in their p4p ranking.

There is a rule, the fighter must either have a fight within a year or at least have one scheduled.
That's a Ring magazine rule and that's the one I reguard as the only one that matters.
That's why Vitali was dumped from the rankings, unfortunately.

It doesn't make any sense and I don't take any list seriously if they have him on there
So you can sit on your ass for over a year and still be a top P4P fighter? I guess Derrick Rose was the real MVP last year than #GTFOH
I have Orlando Cruz higher on my P4P list than Ward and so should everybody elseComment

Actually, The Ring has always stated that as long as a fight is scheduled it wont affect a fighter's rankings if over one year of inactivity. If however no fight is scheduled after one year then they are yanked. This could also be confusing in regards to The Ring belt since the only way to lose it is retire or lose.Comment

You need to go back and read what I was responding to in order to understand the context of my postActually, The Ring has always stated that as long as a fight is scheduled it wont affect a fighter's rankings if over one year of inactivity. Ward is obviously a top P4P fighter now and there's no reason to remove him from personal rankings when most of us are just going to put him back at #2 when he demolishes Rodriguez anyway.
It's not like Ward retired, we all know he's had trouble finding an opponent.Comment
