nitpicking at its finest. literally every boxer makes several mistakes in a fight. i would be impressed if he beat salido, as long as bob hasnt paid him off

And what do you think? As long as Bob himself announced the future fight. Do you think he just signed a two times Olympic champ in order to get rid of him after the second pro fight?

Albert Selimov is the only guy to ever beat him in 400 amateur fights. He seemed like his good his style figured out a bit

I think there's good reason why Lomo is being hyped and moved along quickly. He's special, no two ways about it. That said, Vasyl might be in over his head versus a guy like Salido. It's a real risky move by Lomo's management. I've got a lot of belief in Vasyl, but I think "Siri" is too much too soon. But if it's gonna happen, then I can't wait to see what it looks like.

You cannot do analysis like that. It's not serious. In the span of 1 fight you can pick and choose vid snippets to make any world class fighter look like a bum or an average fighter look like a world beater. It is about the whole package and about the big picture.

From what I saw, he has great variety, great power, amazing speed both in his feet and his hands, he has good defence. He seems like a complete fighter. About as complete as a fighter can be. And that's in a fight in which he said he was trying to prolong the fight in order to get some rounds in. He is usually a great inside fighter and in this one he seemed like he was holding back a bit, indeed. Now there are questions about his stamina and chin, but those are going to be answered sooner rather than later with the level of opposition that's being picked for him.
              Great post

i dont understand how this is nitpicking. hes not saying the guy is a bum. hes saying hes not ready for what many seem to think he is ready for. and from what those gifs and that fight shows, its the honest truth. everyone is always so quick to defend their hyped fighters, the miss the point of whats being said. lomachenko is a first fight pro and he looked like it this weekend. does that bode well for him against champ level fighters like salido or rigondeaux??? absolutely not.

honestly the problem i think lomachenko and a lot of eastern euro top rated am fighters suffer from is they are too robotic. great skill and technique but it always seems scripted. like they dont really have much by the way of a curve ball to throw. it works excellently in the ams, but on the pro level it could be of great detriment when going against fighters who are willing to get dirty, fight in the trenches and rough u up. i think honestly thats the biggest issue lomachenko will suffer from. he simply does not have enough fights under his belt to fully understand and appreciate the pro game and develop these skills and abilities that would lead to him being ready for a rigondeaux type fighter. i mean there have been many highly touted ams who entered the pro ranks and none of them were crazy enough to rush into fights like this, theres a reason for that. thats just not how boxing works imo.
