Where is all this hype coming from anyway? Rigo didn't turn over with this much...
Rigo had hype when he first turned over but kind of lost it after a few 'dull' performances. I remember quite a lot of excitement for his debut

One thing people will realise about lomachenko pretty quick is that he doesn't always look smooth or aesthetically pleasing but he almost always finds a way to win. At least he has so far.

My biggest concern would be fighting his style for 12rounds how will his stamina be?

And the obvious question of chin, but that's the same as any good prospect

(I don't think that Arum signed Loma just to risk his future pro career in the second fight...)

My guess is that Arum is actually after the "Eastern markets" (China, Russia...)
This might significantly hurt the boxing business in the U.S -- business which is slow already...

lomachenko was impressive considering it was his debut and the opponent was very solid, but he should ideally have 12 months pro experience before challenging someone as strong and experienced as salido imo.

Now I'm not saying he's a bad fighter, he has some skill and he looks more polished than Shiming and even Khan at this stage of his career. His performance was good but not great, there was no wow factor as far as I'm concerned. If you think I'm being too harsh, keep in mind people are talking about him like he's a future top P4P fighter, so I'm judging him by that standard.
This is the same reason why I said he wasn't impressive and people got butthurt as ****. Their reply was "Its his pro debut!"

Ok but didn't they say he was ready for the pros and make him out to be some type of P4P fighter?

I've been saying this since they started talking about Salido as his next opponent. Salido will stop him. He was impressive in his first fight, but the kid doesn't have one attribute that will help him against Salido. Salido only has trouble with fighters that have speed PLUS power. This kid is fast but not Amir Khan fast. And doesn't have enough power to keep Salido off him for 12 rounds. I expect this fight to be a replay or Salido vs. Cruz.

well if we're gonna go the rout of "he's not impressive visually but he wins" we will need to see him 20 fights in..........he's one fight in against a bum and people are already calling him p4p.

With so many amateur fights and at the age of 25 will Loma really improve?

I don't think he has the power to keep Salido away either. Mikey Garcia is a monster puncher and even against him Salido started to come on...
