Lol at thinking showtime will ever take over HBO.

HBO owns everything in cable television. Regardless of the product they give out in boxing their name alone will always garnish them so many more buys and viewers than showtime

I hope he meant buys in the sense of subscriptions. In terms of PPVs showtime has the better ones, both have good overall subscription cards. Just the lack of a viable undercard on the HBO cards is what kills it for them really.

You fellows couldn't wait to see the last of Merchant. The curses about drunks, and bad names called down on his head were horrible. Now...... you all miss him and appreciate what he was doing. Kellerman's problem is that he was made too much of when he was still a kid with ESPN. He had the most horrible pop-eyed look in the business with his eyes seeming ready to jump right out. And last but not least, that frozen, tight jawed gritting-his-teeth grimace, as if he's holding on to a live electric wire.....

                  Merchant is GOD.

Most these half wits didn't know what they had with him at wheel.

The idea behind acquiring Mayweather was to change the game, to uplift the Showtime brand in the world of boxing. It certainly has worked, Showtime is the top boxing network ATM.
