Povetkin showed heart. He could have easily stayed down after one of the knockdowns.

He came to fight; it was just a shame Wlad chose to clinch so incessantly. If Pabon had deduced a point early on, I think we would have seen a more aggressive Wlad and a probable knockout.

He didn't punch Wlad in the cup like he should have. He didn't fight fire with fire. He let himself be fouled when the ref refused to call it. He does deserve some blame for that. When that stuff starts, it's an alley fight. If your answer is to do nothing, it's part your fault.

Well that I agree with. But my question was regarding his fault in the clinches and for the fight to be a stinker.

If Povetkin had hit him in the cup, we all know what would have happened.

Povetkin has proved to the world that he's a fighter who should be respected, contrary to what many people believed about him before this fight. He's the best heavyweight not named Klitschko.

povetkin has beaten some good HWs. I don't know about the best outside the klitschko's but he is in the top 10.

They're both Heavyweights. The Super Heavy thing is a myth. There have been a handful of guys Klit's size who were really all that good, still, ever. Most of them are meh. A lot of guys weigh heavy because they half ass training. Guys like Chambers and Byrd could hang with bigger men and beat most; just not Wlad.

That says it's more superior Wlad than Super Heavy.
