These aren't the words of a thinking person.

Margarito is a CONVICTED CHEAT, in a Court of Law he lost his boxing license for LOADING his gloves for the Mosley gloves. Refer to the link below.

IF you want to give a CHEATER the BENEFIT of the DOUBT then that's your choice . . .

SOMETHING tells me your stance would be different IF it was one of your favourite fighters who were cheated, but I realise you're a moron and I'm sure most people on this site also realise that.

A thinking person uses facts. Margarito smashed Cotto and there has never been a shred of evidence that he was cheating.

I really don't know why it didn't win FOTY. It had everything. Momentum swings, comebacks, blood, guts, skills, techniques, brawling, and to top it off, they were the two best WW at the time. What more can be asked. I recognize that that Vasquez/Marquez III happened too, but more was on the line in this battle

because Rafa and Izzy were battering each other's faces in for the 3rd time

"but but,THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE HANDWRAPS ".

Since the very next day, people were looking for excuses as to why Cotto lost. I remember at first they said it was steroids. Fact is, many people just didn't like Margarito. I can't blame them for their ******ity. Rational and logical thinkers know Tony broke Cotto down fairly. Cotto himself never made excuses about HANDWRAPS until some dumbass put a picture online of string stuck to Tonys fist.

Widespread su****ion is enough to put doubt on it. Had he not been caught cheating with Mosley (ironically, another cheater) then he'd be fine. History will remember the doubt and loaded gloves. Unfortunate for a few on here, it seems.

I don't care either way. I enjoyed both fighters.

But Cotto softened Margarito up for Shane and Pac. Margs then softened Cotto for Pac.

Those two shaved off years from their careers from eachother
              My thoughts exactly!

This fight was one of the most memorable ppv fights ever IMO... Too bad its shrouded in controversy because it was a great great fight, with a great ending..

I remember that too! That was hilarious. I guess they finally have something to cling onto now.

A person who got beat by plastered wraps wouldn't be boxing right now and beating up on guys like Rodriguez.

First one was good. The others are overrated.
