Cotto should and will get credit for taking Sergio Martinez on but it won't help him when Sergio beats the crap and stops Cotto. Boxing fans nowadays just be all over the place. Sergio needed to heal from his leg injury longer before fighting Murray. They made a huge mistake trying to capitalize off of the Chavez win and not taking into account the night of the Murray fight that the ring was wet and slippery.

One not so stellar performance and now Martinez is past it? Dude has been KO'in MW's and took a flush shot from big ass Chavez Jr, got up and kept fighting. This is the same guy who put Paul Williams to sleep and out jabbed a certified jabber in Sergei Dzinziruk. Happens in boxing that a fighter doesn't always look great in every fight but there's no way Cotto beats Sergio Martinez. Cotto is going to sleep. Cotto is like 5'7" and Martinez is 5'10" and hits like a brick. The height and reach of Trout was a problem for Cotto and now all of a sudden Cotto beats Martinez at Middleweight?

This has always been a decent style match up for Cotto...my only concern has been whether he can stand up to Sergio's power. If Sergio's knees are bothering him and he can't plant and sit down on his punches like he used to, Cotto will win...I truly believe that.
