I'm still a big fan. He just met an underrated boxer with a rock solid chin who had more than a plan A. Lucas also appeared to have no plan besides "I'll hit him and he'll fall." I never hyped him as top shelf, just exciting. I thought he'd beat Danny brutally but hey that's why they hold the fights.

At the end of the day, Danny won the fight legally, even though he did throw his low blows being a ******. I still rate Lucas, and I believe he will make a statement in his next fight to get himself back into the title picture. His eye was shut, the fight literally swung in Garcia's favour, and he took the opportunity and did what any other fighter would, had that been Garcia's eye... I could only pray for Angel...

The only problem I had with the Lucas fans was they seriously thought Lucas was going to KILL Danny.. this whole forum barely gave Danny a chance and it was ridiculous.
404 votes for Lucas to win by KO/TKO..
76 for Garcia KO/TKO + 69 by decision
Only 41 voted a tossup..
Danny just went 12 rounds with the man and Judah f'd Danny up more than Lucas.. if Lucas wants a rematch he'd lose again.

The problem I have with Garcia fans is that they vastly overrate what actually transpired in their fight. Yes, Danny clearly won, but it was nowhere near the "schooling" that Garcia fans have tried to rewrite it as since.
I had him winning by 2 points and would love to see how a rematch would play out.
That said, I know that Lucas has to earn it again, and he definitely will. He's still a murderous puncher with underrated boxing skills and defensive capabilities that will give fits to most guys at 140.
Bring them all on.

Matthysse was winning the fight. Garcia wasn't get through with much at all until LM couldn't see the shots coming.

Bring them all on.and it was something of a schooling because of the anticlimactic nature of the result after Matthysse's fans hearts were broken, it was close but Lucas was schooled and looked clueless for large portions of the fight. I had Danny winning by 2 points like you but Danny could have won by more as the rounds Danny won were clear as day as opposed to the Lucas rounds where some of them could have gone either way.

Anyone with power is usually immediately overrated. For some reason people think it's the best attribute to have in the sport, or at least they treat it as such.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Matthysse was overrated, at least not by most? I didn't see anything against Garcia that suggests Matthysse was overrated. He fought well and showed his normal skill and landed his punches.
What we found out is that to most boxing fans Garcia was WAY underrated. He won by doing exactly what most of us didn't think he could do.
