    Wladimir vs Povetkin was disappointing

I had hoped for a great fight, but it was a hugging contest and damn boring. As a big fan of Wlad, I must say he disappointed last night. I know Povetkin should be blamed too and he looked like a limited fighter, but I expected Wlad to be more aggressive and go for the KO. Dull fight. Your thoughts?

PS. I would like to see Wlad vs Fury, as I'm quite sure it would bring more fireworks.

Wlad wouldn't have an easy time trying to grapple and push down bigger men like Fury and Wilder. Plus they could nail him at long range with 85" reach. We have a possible remedy to Wlad's grab n' jab with these giants.

a shitty spoiling performance from a wlad who was allowed to get away with it by a super shitty ref. If the ref had given a warning and then taken a point off Wlad EARLY it might have made for a different fight. Great way to turn off the fans.

Anyway that aside Povetkin showed great heart...

It was a let down. Worst Wlad in 10 years.

I also would like to see Wlad fights bigger men. Wach fight very enjoyable and exciting.

Ibragimov fight was worse and Haye fight was a bigger letdown IMO but that had a lot to do with Haye.

I agree. It's really the ref who is at fault.

I expected better from Wlad. I think he held the way he did out of laziness and apathy. Povetkin was a limited opponent there for the taking and Wlad chose to do the bare minimum to win rather than put on a good show.

He doesn't have that killer instinct in him anymore, its been fading ever since the Brewster loss in 2004.

Yes, Fury and Wilder definitely. Wlad will not be able to just lean and push them down with his weight. Plus he will hav to deal with huge punches. Great fights ahead next year I hope. But who knows, if Haye beats Fury we will have Wlad-Haye II. Wouldn't mind that either, cause Haye has the speed and power if he doesn't run like a girl again.

Wlad actually looks better against the giants.
Look at Austin, Wach, Thompson, he handled them easily.
