Why exactly Wasnt cotto at his best? Cause he had a baby in the way like donaire, was he cheating on his wife like pacquiao? Or was it the trainers fault again. He got beat by the better man point blank. Delvin is a bum and cotto did what he was supposed to do to a bum

Trout isn't better than Cotto. Barely beat him on the best night of his career and Cotto's worst.

I think trout still wins. Trout, too big, strong, awkward, rangy and a southpaw.

Better to let that fight fade into the night

You're usually a level headed poster (minus the Lucas vs Danny thing lol) but c'mon now he clearly beat cotto don't make excuses for why cotto "wasn't at his best". The delvin win means about as much as cAnelo beating Mosley aka it doesn't mean shlt lol.

Trout beat Cotto, but it doesn't make him a better boxer overall. It wasn't a blowout like people say it was, and Cotto was obviously not mentally in camp or that fight. Diaz is a good trainer but let's be real, he was mainly training 4 round amateur fights. He cleaned up Cotto's defense and made him lighter on his feet but he lowered his punch output which is what Cotto should do more of because of his power, not throw less. Roach isn't perfect either no one is, but he'll max out Cotto's offensive output which is only a good thing for Cotto.

Cotto wins a rematch if he throws more left hooks and is agressive as he was in the Delvin fight. Miguel fought a poor fight with Trout without being agressive enough and not working the body with left hooks. Left hooks to the body open up a range of attacks just like it did in the Delvin fight. Cotto hurt Delvin with those body shots so he kept his left elbow low leading to the overhead hook which ended his night.

he can, he wasnt as damaged as what pacquiao did.

but nah, its too risky. its a bad matchup overall.

                maravilla or canelo only fight.

Diaz is a damn good trainer and strategist. If Cotto increased his punch output, he would've tired faster. He has a conditioning issue that is not going to just disappear. Roach is not going to fix that either. Maxing his output is not a good thing for a fighter with a clear conditioning issue where they get visibly tired.

this is just more excuses. not mentally in the camp? diaz seemed to work fine for rigo, and diaz trained cotto for "floyds toughest fight in years" these are just cop outs

Trout is pretty decent defensively. It's not going to be easy to hit him in the body. He moves quite well. Canelo wasn't able to attack Trouts body with success. And neither did Cotto the first time. And yet you think it'll be different a second time? I think Cotto could win, but won't be so easy.
