top rank made all the stars in boxing, golden boy have made nobody, they just give offers to guys like floyd to fight under them for free

golden boy seriously are flawed, instead of trying to make stars, they feed their own guys to floyd making no money from it

which golden boy fighter has headlined his own ppv event without floyd? nobody

everyone has been a top rank star, cotto, margo, pac, oscar and floyd

    no contest

Broner is headlining his own PPV Dec 14th... Canelo is a star so is Danny Garcia, Lucas, Thurman, Ortiz, Guerrero, Khan, Sante Cruz! And any fighter at top rank around their weight class would get stomped that is the main reason top rank hasn't tried to make fights yet.

I wanna see your reaction when Cotto/Canelo fight is made under the Golden Boy banner... Watch you be singing a different tune. And as far what GB is doing with their fighters... Floyd/Canelo will make more than Bradley/Marquez Pac/Rios Cotto/Rodriguez and Chavez/Vera COMBINED!

And if you think I am playing pull the gate and the numbers of each fight (4) in total with top ranks biggest names and see if all 4 can match up to one GB event.

And Floyd didn't become a PPV star until he left top rank anyway that's why he left.

Because of how Canelo lost, sure they made a lot of money now but even Cotto/Canelo now got less appealing to me. Even after the Trout fight I would have picked Cotto to beat the hypejob. People assume because he is Mexican he is some sort of great pressure fighter, he isn't. He likes to think and box then apply smart pressure that is essentially what Cotto does and he has FAR FAR more experience. Mayweather wasn't hurting Canelo, but he didn't do much because he didn't know what to do he was lost in there. He'll be more competitive against Cotto, slightly, but he will still end up losing. It's not their fault, they wanted to put him in there against Cotto so give Canelo the win with the same BS scoring they tried to pull on Floyd.

All I will say is Cotto is about to experience the same shhhh that Martinez and Sam Lepowicz have while trying to get a bout out of GBP where the GBP fighter isn't dictating all of the terms. Cotto vs Martinez 2014..mark your calendars. Schaeffer does not work well with others...and let's not throw in the pacquaio vs mayweather bulllshhhh because I can understand not wanting to work with Arum but with Martinez and Lepowicz saying they'll take 20% and no ppv revenue and no fight being made for 3 years speaks plenty.

You done lost your f'ing mind...Khan, Ortiz, and Guerrero combined make a great fighter. Danny Garcia has promise, Broner overrated considering his resume, Thurman overrated, Lucas if you neutralize his power isn't doing much, the only fighter I can't judge is Santa Cruz because I don't know much about him.

SMH @ These promotional company/network cheerleaders. Some of yall need to go audition to be a Corona girl or a Top Rank Knockout.

Cotto/Martinez and Cotto/Canelo are both great fights. Martinez does more for his legacy and will cement his place as a first ballot HOF'er and he will accomplish something that no PR boxer in history has done.

The Canelo fight will be a major event and will attract a lot of fans because of the rivalry.

I'm happy with both but I would prefer Martinez because I think Cotto is missing that one signature win, IMO.

Martinez is THE legacy fight he's waited for all his career. What a better way to go out than to win the Lineal Midleweight title and become the first PR to win titles in 4 Divisions?

You only see **** like that in movies.

your an idiot. cotto has a great relationship with goldenboy. and because of the mexican and puerto rican rivalry. i guarantee that cotto vs canelo is a more appealing fight and will do way better that cotto vs martinez.

I think that you're in the minority with your "Canelo-Cotto is less appealing" opinion. If anything, that fight has become even more appealing with how Cotto looked last night. Canelo losing to Floyd did little to damage his star potential. He's still young, and losing to Floyd wasn't unexpected. Had GB ran Canelo through the JMW ringer he probably wouldn't have made it to Floyd. It would've been bad business for GB to not make that Canelo-Mayweather fight. Canelo fight Lara, Cotto, or any other top JMW and maybe come back get a rematch with Mayweather.
