HBO is going with the quantity over quality strategy. With big, important fights, at least if their boring, they have meaning, with mismatches, when they suck, they suck bad.

They had to go with quantity to end the year because they're trying to stay relevant, so they made sure to have plenty of boxing shows to end the year.
If they didn't have anything, people would think Showtime is where all the fights would be from now on.
Anyone with half a brain knows that Showtime is now the new home of boxing. The last three months prove it.
Even HBO announcing has drastically gone down. Not good.
