PPV doesn't do anything for the subscribers. I'm not seeing this great product from SHO.. It's been good, but their 1st and 3rd trimester were dry as hell. The middle one was good, but really those 2 ESPN level shows were the best they put on. And HBO is ahead FOTY wise.

Btw 5m doesn't explain the terrible numbers there. Those 2 quality shows combined were seen by way fewer than just Chavez last fight got

I think HBO panicked a little after the fall out with GBP and ran to Bob Arum out of desperation.

Instead of doing that they should have positioned themselves as the network that would buy the best fights regardless of promoter.
