Well I dunno about long gone. Less than a year ago he was raining down a vicious hailstorm of punches onto Wach, and looking angry in the process. I would've thought that same killer instinct would've been on display tonight, but fucking hell... besides the legit KD, I can't defend his performance at all. Povetkin did what he had to do and I give him a lot of props for being brave enough to try and work on the inside, but Wladimir looked utterly atrocious out there (ref or no ref).

You clearly didn't watch the fight. I'm a rarity in thatI prefer defensive fighting over all action guys. My favorite fighters to watch are Floyd, Rigondeaux, Ward, and Hopkins. But what Wladimir did today was bull**** and indefenseable. And anyone trying to defend it is wither a Wladimir fanboy (didn't even know those existed) or has absolutely no clue WTF they're talking about while discussing boxing.
