I am a Wlad fan and I was also totally disappointed. I also don't understand why he does it? If he put combos together instead of clinching he would have easily knocked Povetkin out. I usually defend Wlad but I cannot do it this time because that really was a horrible fight.

He's gun shy plane and simple .........

This may have been one of the worst heavyweight fights that i have ever seen... The Clinchkos are a lil overrated... Unfortunately they are on top because of the lack of heavyweight contenders... If someone takes away their size advantage then that simple ass jane, straight right hand can be overcome... it's only effective because the average opponent in 3-5 inches shorter with a reach disadvantage...

Vlad fought dirty. If I was a HW contender and I am not, I would really devise a game plan on Punching Vlad in the junk for his tactics. You have no chance anyway the way he holds and lays on you, why not sock him in his ball's? Maybe that would discourage his holding.

i would hit him there every time.
or spin him and hit him in the spine and kidneys
or come forward stepping on his feet and pushing him back.

bad fight but if provnkin would have not let klitchko clinch, wlad he would have reined punches on him pushing off....theres was nothing he can do...bad styles, its funny how all of a sudden HBO commentators never says a fight is boring now lol

Clinching isn't illegal, or punishable, the leaning down on Povetkin possibly could have been subject to censure, but it's something loads of guys do.

wlad made lennox proud with his holding & hitting. he also made john ruiz & henry akinwande proud as he matched them for hugging ability... that was horrible! pabon is terrible & he did a brutal job tonight. I think only 2 were knockdowns. just like max said... wladimir's fights are not fit for television. he use to be exciting when he was vulnerable & he launched an all out offensive assault. those days are long gone...
