We were all stumped, bro. "Mike Tyson Promotions" is a Mickey Mouse operation. I'm still at a loss as to how they handled that event. Sincerely, if they got that kind of turnout with the botched promotional job they put forth, Rigo could easily be expected to sell out a decent-sized arena in Miami. With the right promotion, of course. That "Cubans don't sell in Miami" crap is sheer nonsense. We've seen it for ourselves.
We sure did. What a shame that a foul rumor has taken a trend. This is easily exposed online, I don't get it. If you look up fight highlights on Youtube involving a Cuban (or any) fighter in Miami you will clearly see butts in chairs - not sell out crowds - but plenty attendance.

I don't believe sellout crowds are the norm in boxing anyway. Apart from bigger fights, or small cards held in small venues, the crowds aren't especially remarkable. That's my impression, at least. As for the whole "Cubans don't turn out to see their fighters, therefore no promotional efforts in Miami" BS, I'll offer this thought: Orlando, and its surrounding areas, is probably home to more Puerto Ricans than anywhere else in the world, besides NYC and the island itself, of course. Yet, how often do you hear of a Puerto Rican star fighting in that town? Miguel Cotto fought there once, that I now of, and it wasn't even a big fight. Cotto even has a residence in Orlando! Why isn't anyone asking why no one's promoting big fights in Orlando? Let me guess. There's no market for them. lol

I think he can, his team needs to get it together and put him in Miami and at least try make the tickets affordable, just to pack the house. F##k it turn it into a club afterwards like GBP use to do in LA after their fights.

The poor guy is fighting on UniMas for god's sake lol. The only people that support him are his 31 fans down in Miami and the 7 fans on this forum. 31+7=38. Not enough to even fill up the first two rows.
