Crowds were really nice and lively, you could hear "Cuba!" shouts and arenas seemed to be full. Wouldn't guy like Rigondeaux be able to sell well there? Or isn't it at least be worth a try?

They could do it, they could promote Rigo in the Cuban community, but Blob Arum doesn't want to! Simple as that.

believe me, if they could turn this guy into a star they would.
bob arum doesn't like making money?
the answer is "not even close."
casual fans would be booing by round 3.

If Arum actually got of his ass and promoted I bet Rigo could sell down there. But Bob wants it to be easy and to not have to put in too much work.

Anyone here actually from South FL?
I'm near Miami and I can tell you the Cubans don't show up like that. I saw Both Gamboa and Rigo fight on ESPN at Nova Southeast University and a 5 year old could count how many people were there. It's like Baseball. They build that brand new , beautiful park thinking the Cubans being in the heart of Little Havana (where Marlins Stadium pretty much sits) would come out in packs, and we have the lowest attendance in Baseball
Contrary to what people may think (and I'm half Cuban myself), they don't support their fighters like the Puerto Ricans do and even for someone with the popularity Gamboa had a few years ago, they still didn't give a ****.
