It was a big story back in 2004.
This happens in many sports. Lets not forget the fight was in America and Wlad had shown major vulnerability only a few fights before. No offense, Im just not a big conspiracy theorist. If its a blatant robbery I'll say it. But Im not buying any crazy stories such as were thrown around after Brewster just because the odds drop.

Nothing wrong? Whoever wins the most rounds should be the winner, not semantic stuff like what you described.

Odds can drop if bettors see a chance to make money. A few in the press (like Doug Fischer) went all in picking Lamon too and that sort of late burn can spread. It wasn't remotely unusual.

if henry akwindada was dq'd for holding i don't see why wlad shouldn't be. if they get the right ref in there he will be dq'd and no could complain because it would be legit. then again povetkin is a bum with no defense so wlad should be able to ko him in a couple rounds before the ref dq's him. interesting dynamic we have going on.

hm..Ryabisnky wants boxing grow big in RUssia. with all the $ hes got, I won't be surprised if he payed Chisora to do something ****** in order to mess with Wlad before the fight, and at the same time to heat up the audience and fans around the world.

now I think that could be possible, this time though I hope Vitaly jumps in and protect his little brother, while they brawl - Vit accidently hits the man that appears to be closest to this brawl - mr.*****. there we might have Vitaly's last pay day fight, ppv on Hbo ***** vs Vitaly, why not?

                  just bored=) good morning ya'll

@YSmirenin @GPStangrit Никакого Чисоры в раздевалке Владимира не будет. Я порядочный человек. Мне нужен честный поединок, а не дешевые трюки

So no Chisora according to Ryabinskiy. Everything iv read from Ryabinskiy the past couple months leading up to this fight makes him seem like a reasonable guy but we'll have to wait until after the fight to see if thats true.

Povetkin isn't going the distance to receive a gift decision.

Wladimir can really send out a statement here and I fully expect him to.

I don't think it'll be a prolonged beating, a game Povetkin will get blasted inside of 6 or 7.

I don't think he has the footspeed or the craft to go the distance. His stamina is not great anyway & hes going to be exerting a lot more energy than he is used to trying to bob & weave his way inside.

The odds don't bother me, Wladimir by stoppage 8/13 - I'll have some of that!
