    Potential Klit-Povetkin controvery

    Expect controversy.

For you non-Klit fans, this may be a fight worth tuning in to. Povetkin and his shady backers will try anything to rob Wladimir. -Yoz

Im thinking this fight will be rather one sided with Sasha trying to get in and being unable. Wlad will start controlling and dominating distance after about3 or 4 rounds and by the 8th or 9th with have him tko'd or being retired between rounds. I just don't think Povetkin is good enough to make it a close enough fight to be controversy. Thoughts?

If Wlad decides to let his right hand go I don't think it even gets to the point where there could be controversy.

If Wlad is concerned (which he may he isn't a dummy) about such a thing all he needs to do is let the right hand go a bit more frequently.

We've seen incredibly one-sided fights scored for the wrong guy. I don't think Wlad will let it get that far either, but it's possible.

I saw the odds drastically drop from Wladimir -1100, to Wladimir -550 in just a few minutes. Huge red flags for me. Wlad should just come out and KO this guy.

Kinda of a bad venue for Vlad.

I think Wlad is gonna knock Povetkin out so need to go to the judges.

If it gets to the judges I wouldn't be surprised by anything, although that is usually the case even more so with this fight.

The red flag (no pun intended) for me came at the purse bid, why would somebody bid such an extravagant amount of money if it was not necessary to stage the fight in your favor.

And now all of the late money coming in on Povetkin, yes i smell a fix.

If Povetkin just fights to survive (If Haye can do it Povetkin can also) and they get to the final bell yes i think W. Klit will get robbed.

If Wladimir thinks he needs the KO, it could make the fight exciting.

I noted the same... For the odds to drop that far that quick there had to be a substantial amount placed on Povetkin and/or inside information being received by the odds-makers. It does make it worthy of the red flags... but outside of non-boxing reasons, there is little possibility that Povetkin is even able to last more than 8.

Short of poisoning Wlad or unjustly disqualifying him for knocking Povetkin out with a shot on the side of the head by deeming it a rabbit punch, there's nothing that Povetkin's people can do to save him from getting knocked out.

Povetkin's defense, strength, speed, and stamina aren't good enough to challenge Wlad. He's going to get pushed onto the back foot, peppered with jabs, and repeatedly take right crosses and left hooks from an increasingly aggressive Wlad.

I didn't watch Wald's last 3 fights until a couple days ago; in all 3, he looked more aggressive than he has in the past. He knows what country he's in, who's card he's on, and who he's fighting. I think this is a statement fight for him and we're going to see the most aggressive Wlad we've ever seen.

That odds drop was ****ing strange though...
