stop spreading bull****, yeah he didnt "win" the title, but he beat the ****ing champ, tard.
Ahhhh more of the "Lucas excuses" he shouldn't have taken the fight without the title being up for grabs... Fact is he isn't a champion now and never was one. I'm sure you'll say the belt doesn't mean ****... The same way broke people say money can't buy happiness. Even if he won Peterson belt Danny would've snatched that sucker up before Lucas even got a chance to mount it up on the wall of his log cabin... Next to his iguana heads.

People were actually believing that ****... Come on to say he wasn't even a little overhyped is being dishonest.
Ah, you meant over hyped by Shaefer... He over hyped Canelo as the future PPV star... Schaefer is a business promoter, not a boxing savvy person... As about Matthysse himself: he was humble before and after the fight... That's how he normally is...

Lucas was overhyped if he getting KTFO by Danny within 3 rounds which he doesnt. The fight was competitive and Danny himself had barely survive a knockdown a couple of time.like it or not both are great fighters and both are not overhyped

I do think the fans went over board with Matt's a bit,but he is not hyped..Matt's is the real deal, just like Danny..I don't see why it has to be one or the other, both are good fighters..Danny just was the better man when they met up,I a sure know there is not going to be long line of fighters trying to fight Matt's..The dude is obviously dangerous..

I just don't see how Lucas is still hype after they fight 5 world champions? Lucas had no easy fights. Mike Dallas, but that was a late sub. In the rematch Danny would be a betting edge, but not by much. Lucas may get a great fight for LOSING that fight. He almost looked unbeatable before

Nonsense. Try and discredit him all you want, he is a top notch fighter with very good power. The fight with Garcia was not a blow-out by any stretch. And a rematch would likely be competitive again. Lucas does not deserve the ignorant hate he gets from some on the forum. He's a good fighter. Given fans some good knockouts. Been robbed of a title. Always classy and cool. Danny would not beat him 'worse' in a rematch. Danny did not beat him that badly the first go-round and took a lot of what he gave. The 12th they were still both throwing bombs and Lucas had come on strong in the 11th, knocking Garcia's mouthpiece into the crowd. Danny fought better than I expected and showed a tremendous chin, but several posters are acting like he knocked him out. Not even ****ing close.

Same here. He is one of my favorite fighters. Has been for a while.

PLEASE!!! Can you stop your non sense??? A mouthpiece can fly out of any boxers mouth if tired and not biting into it, any punch can cause that on a tired boxer during champ rounds which is when most boxers tend to stick the piece out. It was a good punch but just because the piece flew out it dont mean shiat!!

And if you think it meant anything....Danny just shooked it off and kept going after Lucas.

I hate loosing fans like you. The what if has gone too far with your excuses!!

Lucas lost and thats the end of it.

The fact that the fight was competitive at all ... Not to mention the fact that he lost means he was overhyped. A lot of people had him winning easily or by early ko or by "destruction". The idea before the fight was that if Lucas landing a big shot with full force you were going down or out... The idea before this fight was that Lucas could give guys different looks and could adjust in a fight ... We found out both those things weren't true he was overhyped. If people had him a slight dog or even a slight favorite going into the fight and most people had the fight a toss I would say they valued him accordingly.... But a big majority thought he would win big... A lot of people thought he was invincible. Not many still believe the same to be true. That's the definition of overhyped.

I never tried to discredit him I've always said it would be a close fight ... And was given a million reasons why it wouldn't be by guys like you... Probably you in particular at some point. The fact is it was close but clear that Danny is the better fighter and either he was underrated or Lucas was overrated... I tend to believe Lucas was overrated as I can see Danny having trouble down the road with more "complete" fighters... If anything I'm descrediting Garcia.
