Stating the obvious, of course HBO wants Adonis/Kovalev. What I want to know is whether Kovalev plans to fight once before that.

Of course the fight sells, it could sell in England, mainly Liverpool or at home for Stevenson, the crowds will come out in their thousands to see their new hero AND they could put someone like Pascal back on the undercard.

I'm not sure if Stevenson/Bellew would have a bigger purse than Stevenson/Kovalev, simply because HBO will be directly involved in the latter but in terms of ticket sales, I see Bellew selling more.

Before the Cloud fight, Adonis said he would cross the Pond to fight Froch.
Now as Adonis became such a big star, it would be difficult to make him come to Scotland to fight the likes of Bellew. At most, Adonis would accept a Bellew fight at the Bell Center in Montreal -- which HBO doesn't want...

I think B-Hop beats Stevenson.

Cloud was not making Stevenson work hard or miss much and Adonis was blowing by the time Cloud crumbled. Hopkins will take that right hand away with movement and distance and be putting money in the bank [bodyshots].

It would be a great way for B-Hop to bow out [cos he ain't gettin' Money May].

Stevenson-Kovalev or Stevenson-Hopkins are both good fights.

It's funny how HBO hypes that Stevenson can box, but I think that Cloud can make a C+ boxer look like Sweet Pea. Styles make fights. The more fan friendly fight would be with Kovalev. Stevenson doesn't appear to want that fight with that lame excuse he has. He just beat a man that was schooled by B-Hop and got in a good punch on Dawson; who I believe never put 100% into the fight game. HBO wants the Kovalev fight due to this civil war in boxing with HBO, Showtime, and GBP. Financially Stevenson would profit more with the Hopkins fight but for more respect he can try his luck with Kovalev who I believe John David Jackson would be happy for his fighter to take away that B-Hop fight. In the end, Stevenson is the light-heavyweight version of Sam Peter (Got pop in both hands, can box enough to get by, but eventually will be exposed).

Hopkins doesn't bring any money. HBO isn't interested in Hopkins anymore. They're clearly interested in setting up Kovalev-Stevenson soon.

He does bring money if they fight in Canada..a lot of it too.
