Stevenson doesn't appear to want that fight with that lame excuse he has. He just beat a man that was schooled by B-Hop and got in a good punch on Dawson; who I believe never put 100% into the fight game. HBO wants the Kovalev fight due to this civil war in boxing with HBO, Showtime, and GBP. Financially Stevenson would profit more with the Hopkins fight but for more respect he can try his luck with Kovalev who I believe John David Jackson would be happy for his fighter to take away that B-Hop fight. In the end, Stevenson is the light-heavyweight version of Sam Peter (Got pop in both hands, can box enough to get by, but eventually will be exposed).
u r buggin....what we saw sat wasn't a mirage. AS is a problem. He showed excellent balance...timing...footspeed...handspeed....defens e...patience & intelligence. Not to mention supreme confidence...all of which we hadn't seen before. To bri all of that in one fight suddenly...was even more impressive The kid is a problem. There is a reason Manny steward was so high on him. He keeps growing like that & he will be a superstar. no question.

If HBO wants Kovalev, Stevenson will fight Kovalev or he won't be on HBO.

Stevenson/Bellew is already signed for november the 30th, in Montreal or Quebec City...

But guys, Hopkins brings way more money than Kovalev, because the fight would be in Montreal... Here, we all remember what the executioner did to Pascal, the bell center would be pack for this fight.

          That's the fight at 175.
          Without a doubt.

Call me crazy, but to ME (and with the post fight ring interview saturday as well) it sounds like Stevenson, his team- or both, want no part of Kovalev. Not sure how they're going to get out of this one, though.

If they had the confidence of Adonis in that fight, they would be licking their chops..... Kovalev has a belt, it would be a legit unification, and SURELY HBO would give Stevenson a career pay day. Not very comforting as a fan.

All I see there is that Stevenson's promoter threatens to "work with Showtime" if they don't give him the Hopkins fight.

See nothing about Adonis-Bellew. Again, I'm not sure how much more blatant it can be, but to me it looks like they are somewhat shook of Kovalev and doing their best to avoid that fight.

Their reasons for not wanting to fight him aren't even legit..... Kovalev already fought Campillo who should of been Unified champion and put a absolute boxing lesson on Cloud.

I'm no expert.... But I'm pretty sure as a result of beating Dawson, Adonis has some kind of contract with HBO and I highly doubt they will be able to do anything with Showtime/Hopkins until they fufill that contract- If HBO wants Adonis-Kovalev......they'll get it (i could be wrong)

(stevenson-Bellew could very well be next.... I'm saying I don't think Stevenson-Hopkins is possible at the moment)

Yes, im sure thats the case also mate. Hearns and Bellew said long before the Cloud - Stevenson fight that it was a done deal that Bellew will fight the winner.

Just read an interview with Stevenson on Ring website, where he says his next fight will be his mandatory against Bellew...then he wants Hopkins.
