    What are you talking about?

Donaire beat Nishioka in '12, knocked him out in fact, then beat Arce, before that he beat a very good superbantam, much taller and bigger than him for the IBF title, breaking the man's jaw in the process. In his first fight at superbantam, he won the WBO world title, admittedly it was a vacant title but Vazquez Jr is no joke, he is a serious fighter.

GGG this year has done nothing but beat on 154 pounders and the only step up his head was Macklin. Now he's taking 10 steps back by fighting Stevens, how is that even comparable to what Donaire did in 2012?

Donaire 2012 = 4 fights, 3 world titles, became number one fighter in the division by beating the number one guy

    GGG 2013 = Matthew Macklin

I like GGG, I really do, it's hard not to, but all this crap that fans are creating is only damaging him. He hasn't yet done anything in the division yet he is being talked up as some sort of demi-God. Guys relax, most of you are the same people who were creating Matthysse into some world beater. We all know how that ended.

Garcia - consistently wins as underdog
Rigo - Beat Donaire(2012 fighter of the year)
Stevenson - Great outings in recent fights.. man did he handle Dawson
Mayweather - but is beating Canelo enough for FOTY?

Probably Danny Garcia since he took care of the boogeyman when no one gave him a chance, but I hope it goes to GGG so I can laugh

I'd have picked Rigo so easily and without argument if he'd had one more fight this year against a good, world level operator. I doubt that's going to happen now. That's a shame for Rigo, his fans and boxing because Rigo is getting on a bit and we don't know how long he will last at the top. A talent like his needs to be showcased a bit more.

Well there's rumors he might fight Agbeko in December. Not saying it'd be a great win (assuming he's victories) but a good win nonetheless.

Either Floyd Mayweather or Danny Garcia. Somebody said Dawson had never been stopped Andre Ward stop him in last fight; and Cloud looked ***** getting beat by B-Hop so if beating two is FOTY worthy than thats fine by me.

Agbeko's not bad but he will be moving up in weight. Still, if Rigo destroys him then he could be a premier choice for FOTY

Surprised Kovalev hasn't recieved a little more attention. Demolished in 3 Campillo, who essentially battered Cloud for 10 Rnds, then a substantially underrated White (who was top 4-6 in 3 of the alphabets)also TKO 3 then an (admittedly overated) Titlist in Cleverly TKO 4.

Stevenson's wins appear more impressive but a flash KO against a Dawson who'd been absolutely destroyed by Ward? A cut stoppage (although dominant performance) against Cloud coming off a long lay-off the Campillo beating and the BHop loss? And Boone, against whom he took 6 rnds to avenge his Loss whilst Kovalev destroyed him in 2.

At least 2 of Kovalevs opponent were coming off wins, and one was unbeaten. And Campillo shoulda had his arm raised 'gainst Cloud.

In terms of the style in which he won Kovalev hands down, and with Boone added into the equation quality of opposition is about equal.

Obviously GGG has looked fantastic, but suffers from lack of quality opposition. Best single win is obviously Rigo. Ain't quite sure what Floyd's done that's so special this year, and the HOF is for career achievement. Danny has looked pretty special obviously, but the Judah win was expected (and he's only had the 2 fights this year) and for me not above Kovalev/ Stevenson.

For me really it's between Kov and Stevenson, and I'm going for Sergei...because I can..

EDIT: There are hints that Kovalev is fighting in Montreal as either a co-main or under to Stevenson - Bellew. If this is the case than I guess my final choice will be made on Nov 30th. Certainly Krusher is supposed to fight again this year.

I included Segey Kovalev up there but I've never found Campillo to be impressive, he did a good job against Cloud but I think that fight was damn close and no robbery. Cleverly was a very, very good win, can't take anything away from that.

I think Kov is a step below my personal front runners in Stevenson and Garcia and on the same level as Floyd and Rigo.

Outsiders in Rigo and Froch maybe?

Lil Timmy could be up there if he beats Marquez, capping off a tough year in which a lot of questions have been answered.
I'll give Garcia the nod, followed closely by Money May, then Froch so far this year.
