That was a hard choice to make. So many good fighters had a great year. I voted for Adonis for winning the lineal light heavyweight title in one round and backing that up by beating the hell out of a good former champion.He beat Cloud much worse than Hopkins did and he beat Dawson faster than Ward did. Adonis might be the best in the world at both 168 and 175. I thought GGG, Floyd, Rigo and Garcia all had a great year and any of them would be a good choice for fighter of the year. I almost voted for Mayweather for his great win over Canelo but his other win over Guerrero was just a good win over a fighter I don't think is that good.

Its usually pretty clear cut, maybe comes down to 2 guys...
but this year is alot of worthy fighters..
stevenson- ko'd dawson and cloud,,, 2 champs that were never stopped till adonis
floyd- fought top welter ghost, and top jr mid canelo in the biggest fight of the year, and maybe lost 5 rounds combined,,, 2 weight classes and total domination from floyd
bradley- needs to beat jmm
rigo- great win vs donaire, needs another solid win
Mikey garcia- beat up salido and juanma,
danny garcia tamed the machine and beat judah
I still gotta go with floyd, since he fought top competition and dominated

lmao cannot believe Mayweather is winning this poll. Just goes to show HYPE is at it's peak these days. Floyd whipped up EASILY on two guys who never stood a chance against him EVER and he deserves FOY??

I'm sorry, this should be Mayweather going away. The fact that neither guy stood a chance only speaks to his dominance this year. He beat the best fighter at 154 pounds in Canelo as well as a top ten (top five even?) 147 pounder in Guerrero, and made both of them look like trash in the process. To me, there's not even a discussion to be had in this regard. Rigondeaux had a phenomenal win, but has only fought once this year. More the promoter's fault than his own, but it is what it is.
Garcia beat a great fighter in Matthysse but only by one or two points, really. Stevenson has looked great in his two fights but how highly regarded should Dawson and Cloud be? Both were fighters coming off losses. Golovkin hasn't fought any top 5 MWs at all.
the Fight of the Year is a much more competitive race, I'd still say Bradley-Provodnikov is tops with Figueroa-Arakawa a close second.Comment
