That just reinforces the point though, flaws that show up again and again are things that prove costly against better guys.

Against guys like Stevens Golovkin is just better than so they really didn't/don't matter. Against a better guy who knows maybe he can overcome them still, but is it not better to be real then saying "lolz he pounded Stevens nothing more to seez here as he is a top 10 guy so allz is gudz"

I just dont understand the flaws people are talking about that we didn't already know. He obviously doesn't have the best defense, that is expected with his style he fights to end the fight and will take some shots in the process. Going into the fight I wasn't sure how he would take a big shot from a guy like Stevens the way he ate them and kept coming showed me he a lot.

You were the one that came at me acting like that, when I said nothing about Stevens putting Golovkin in trouble.

Stevens can punch a bit but come on now what top guys has he ever hurt. I consider Golovkin a boxer that is what he does that is how he gets the job done so flaws he shows in that regard, like a lack of fluidity transitioning between offense and defense are meaningful things to his long term prospects.

Bringing up **** that continues to be apparent and most dudes pay no attention to should not be brought up because?

Golovkin is not a young fighter by any means and Stevens is not a top end guy.

You are right it is boxing and to me to really break down a fight you look for meaning, going in everybody knew Golovkin is superior to Stevens and that he should win rather easily. He did meet those expectations in some regards but he fell short so what does that mean, going forward because that is the important area for Golovkin. I saw flaws that could pose an issue, they didn't in this fight because it was against a guy like Stevens but in other fights against superior opposition they may be more meaningful and worth a thought. That doesn't mean I think he will lose or shouldn't be favored over most guys, but if he does get beat I think I see how it could happen.

If people want to agree or not agree not a big deal I am sharing my take, people can take it or leave it.
          Fair enough.

you could argue these 'flaws' are because his current level of competition hasn't brought GGG's "A Game" out of him, be honest, he's coasted through his last 10 fights without any effort

stevens has a pretty good amateur background from what i've heard, the dude can box. he's also IMO really ****ing small for 160, he looked like a 154lber in there compared to GGG

stevens boxing ability would win him a fight against Rosado, and perhaps even Quillin (yeah I said it), I saw some really good things in there from Stevens, but GGG's power was just too much, especially his accuracy

I think Stevens is a pretty good boxer after watching him tonight

That isn't good either though, falling into bad habits makes them hard to get out of when you need to. Stagnation is not something you ever want to see out of a fighter.

Stevens isn't a total hack or anything like that he is decent but on the highest levels he isn't anything special, he has some positives he is pretty tight and not wild, his only real defense was keeping his hands up which did a decent job but he could not get off whenever Golovkin attacked first however when Stevens attacked he was fairly effective he just couldn't do enough of it as Golovkin had the jab to control him.

Stevens is more of a gatekeeper sort at best I think almost any real guy beats him and he can give some prospects some issues in fights they should still be able to win given Stevens is never very active.

Sanchez only gives GG a 7 out of 10, says he wanted to hurt Stevens too much.
