I think if he knocked Stevens out early without any issues like he was supposed to he wouldn't have been given much criticism.

The only criticism he would have got would have been the choice of opponent which needs no explanation.

honestly, GGG's stock went down.....he wasn't dealing well with the explosive counters.....he avoided most, but he had to reset everytime...spells badly for fights against the likes of Floyd and Sergio.

Golovkin is overrated. His defense is wank! Same combinations over & over.
He really is crap when hes forced on the back foot. His accuracy is poor, I seen Stevens slip 30 consecutive punches he made Stevens look like Pernell Whitaker ffs
Hes only really effective when he has a guy trapped on the ropes.

He is THE most overrated fighter in boxing history.

Actually his defence is pretty good, it looked like he was taking more punches than he was. Golovkin was wary of Stevens' power, mainly because Steven's left hook is fast as well as powerful. Stevens shortness and long arms really worked to his advantage tonight as he tucked up really nice.

Good to very good from Golovkin, certainly the right tactics for all future opponents is to move towards him and try and push him back.

Boxing fans are crazy lol. If he KO'ed him in 1, "another bum/tomato can/cab driver etc. when is he gonna fight somebody good." He beats the **** out of him for 8 eounds and they say he was exposed. Smh.
