    I currently make about $89,000 a year.

If somebody approaches me about partnering with them to build a $5,000,000product to sell, It would be ****** of me to take a Flat rate of 500,000 dollars just because "that's more than I've ever made". You negotiate to get paid in accordance with what you bring to the table, not what your last pay stub read.

You sound like the type of guy that would take the $500,000 now, and feel butt hurt later when your Business partner is laughing to the bank with $4.5 Million dollars.
I guess you can look at it that way, but I still bet Pac wishes Arum would have accepted the 40 million.

What you bring to the table? A questionable win (JMM3), a questionable loss (Bradley), and a face plant KO loss (JMM4), at this point what does Pac bring to the table? The fact remains, Pac/Arum should have jumped on the 40 million.

The negotiations where Floyd offered Pac a flat 40 million were right after JMM3 before his back to back losses. I for one agree that Bob Arum is a P.O.S. but when you offer someone like Pacquaio 40 million flat, no PPV at that stage in his career that's an insult. It makes you wonder if you can even negotiate with somebody who would lowball you so ridiculously.

Which is why I keep saying "How can you call yourself "THE MONEY TEAM" if you let personal differences get in the way of generating a $100 Million dollar event? I work at a Law firm where half the partners hate each other, you cknow why they still work with each other? Because they make more money together, than any of them could make alone, or with another firm.
It is not just Mayweather, Arum and Pacquiao are a key parts in this a well. Honestly all have their issues and prevent/prevented this fight from moving forward.

It could be 70/30 in favor of Mayweather or 68/32 or whatever number they come up with based on total sales and that would be the fair split. Pac wouldn't be able to argue that, Arum wouldn't be able to, Floyd or his team or GBP wouldn't be able to argue because the split would be based on the total sales each has brought in individually lets say over the last 10 fights of each guy. Floyd's last fight would tip the numbers heavily in favor of him though. It obviously wouldn't take 3 Mathematicians but since it would have a huge impact, they would all be able to come to an agreement on an exact percentage of split for each guy. Simple.
Funny thing is that Richard Schafer has already suggested publicly that both companies open up their books to determine what the split should be, and it didn't get him anywhere. Its public knowledge. But its all Floyd's fault

I can't say you're wrong for perceiving this thread that way, but If you read my first post I clearly state that I'm a huge Mayweather fan, and I really do hope Rios knocks Manny out Nov 23, God as my witness. I just feel like when people on NSB idolize others it gets to the point where you can't even have a constructive conversation without people thinking you have some underlying hate or agenda.

LOL if you mention Floyd, too many hate him for being the best BOXER and not facing guys 3 divisions above him
remember 2weeks ago Matthysse was the best thing since coochie and Canelo was gonna KO Floyd Joy and these guys are too bitter for a grown up conversation/debate.:blow:

BTW why are people so mad at Floyd for saying Pac needs to fight under his banner when Arum has been doing the same thing? Bradley, JMM, Mosley and others? People are mad at Floyd because Pac refused to take a drug test? or because Arum needed to build a "special" outdoor stadium? Remember Oscar also has beef with Arum. Arum doesnt want to open his books and be exposed for cheating his fighters out of money like Floyd and Oscar knows from experience. Arum wont get as big a cut as he thinks he probably deserves from the pot and risk his money maker getting beat.

Excuses, always changing, and you fall for it everytime.

Remember when Floyd said take the test and the fight happens?

                    Pacquiao said ok then.

Floyd said, I'm going on vacation

Floyd aint ducking manny right now, regardless if floyd fights khan, garcia or whoever...

Manny just got put to sleep, and has been out for a year...

Manny needs to look impressive vs rios, then beat bradley/jmm

then there would be demand for a floyd fight...

until then, manny aint on the radar screen, sorry
