If Floyd's next fight is Khan, it confirms he's ducking Pacman!

When Pacquiao signed with Top Rank and didn't think to bust out on his own and promote himself.

It proved he was so dumb he ducked HIMSELF out of the bigger payday he would get for fighting Floyd.

Its not a total duck...most of the blame lies at Bob Arum's door.

I highly agree with that, I think up to this point both parties can be blamed for why the fight never happened. But I'm more concerned with what can make the fight happen from today on...

And for the record 40 million dollars flat, and none of the Pay Per View money was never an acceptable offer for someone who would be responsible for about 40-50 percent of the pay per view buys. Personally I would have taken it, because if I were to win, I would hold all the cards in the Rematch, but I can't Blame Manny for passing on that.
and instead of accepting the 40 million, Pac got KTFO by JMM for less than 1/4 of that, seriously diminishing the value of a Floyd/Pac match. I bet Manny wishes Arum would have taken that offer

But I have to remain objective and ask an honest question. When asked about the Pacman fight, Floyd says Pacman needs to avenge his losses to Bradley and Marquez before they can discuss fighting eachother. As if to say, Pacman needs to "earn" the "opportunity to fight him". But if Floyd fights Khan, he contradicts that statement because Khan lost two fights back to back, fought a career lightweight (Molina), then narrowly escaped with a victory over a journeyman who dropped him (Diaz). He definitely hasn't earned the fight. So you may say "Money is the motivator"? My question to you all and TMT would be; Do you think Floyd would take home more money fighting Khan and giving him his small cut vs. Fighting Manny Pacman, paying him a flat 20-30 million (being that Pac has little room for negotiation after the marquez KO) and taking the rest? Anyone who says that fight isn't the biggest fight to be made still in boxing is kidding themselves. If Floyd is about MONEY why isn't a fight with PACMAN thbe next logical step? Your thoughts
really again with this? Signed with Bob Arum= not fighting Floyd. It is pretty simple imo.

That wouldn't have been a good business move on Bob Arum's part.

              Example
              I currently make about $89,000 a year.

If somebody approaches me about partnering with them to build a $5,000,000product to sell, It would be ****** of me to take a Flat rate of 500,000 dollars just because "that's more than I've ever made". You negotiate to get paid in accordance with what you bring to the table, not what your last pay stub read.

You sound like the type of guy that would take the $500,000 now, and feel butt hurt later when your Business partner is laughing to the bank with $4.5 Million dollars.

It's easy, have 3 Mathematicians paid to analyze all of Pac's and Mayweather's top fights and determine how many seats and PPV's Pac draws compared to how many seats and PPV's Floyd draws and show the percentages and have them split the money that way. It could be 70/30 in favor of Mayweather or 68/32 or whatever number they come up with based on total sales and that would be the fair split. Pac wouldn't be able to argue that, Arum wouldn't be able to, Floyd or his team or GBP wouldn't be able to argue because the split would be based on the total sales each has brought in individually lets say over the last 10 fights of each guy. Floyd's last fight would tip the numbers heavily in favor of him though. It obviously wouldn't take 3 Mathematicians but since it would have a huge impact, they would all be able to come to an agreement on an exact percentage of split for each guy. Simple.

Which is why I keep saying "How can you call yourself "THE MONEY TEAM" if you let personal differences get in the way of generating a $100 Million dollar event? I work at a Law firm where half the partners hate each other, you know why they still work with each other? Because they make more money together, than any of them could make alone, or with another firm.

Thanks Richardt, for someone finally adding something of value to this thread. And BTW that would be a brilliant way to settle the PPV proceeds. All they would have to consider are the initial purses and we could have a fight. People act like it's more complicated than it is.
