I was under the impression Ward weighed around the mid-high 170s on fight night. I thought that was the case against Dawson at least. Do you have any info on this?

Damn, Rodriguez was right. Ward does need him more than he needs he needs Ward. Ward wouldn't have caved in to his demands otherwise. Who else could ward have possibly fought?

Ward could have fought a lot of guys for his tuneup but HBO played hardball with him. I'm sure he won't forget that when his contract comes up for renewal.

Golovkin does the most cowardly things Ive seen, how you going to call out a guy whose best weight is 25 pounds less than you.

Ward and his camp have called for the Golovkin fight consistently. I don't know why they would change their minds now to move up in weight.

Haven't Ward (I've heard conflicting things), Hopkins, and Martinez all offered to fight Floyd at 150 (in Sergio's case)-160? Canelo weighed more against Trout on fight night than Golovkin did against Macklin, so is Canelo a coward because he seemed to be pushing for a Mayweather fight much harder than GGG has. Also, how are you defining 'calling out'?

From what I can recall, he said Mayweather would be his dream fight because he's the P4P #1 fighter and the money as well (or he insinuated it). I find it hard to take issue with the guy for throwing his name out there when Floyd offers the biggest payday. It isn't like he's calling Floyd a coward or demand he fight him above 154.

GGG and his team have talked about moving p and fighting guys like Ward where he would be at a size disadvantage as well. HBO is waiting on a Ward-Golovkin fight because they want both of them to build bigger fan bases.

Other than chasing fighters he has already beaten Ward needs to take his ass up to 175. PLENTY of quality foes in that Weight Class.

The ESPN article was a callout by the K2 CEO the same guy always crying about Quillin. I'm a huge Canelo fan but I found his fight with Lopez and calling out a welter pretty sad. If Quillin called out Manny would I have to tell you why it was pathetic?

The Next Champ - Edwin Rodriquez

I have been on he road with Edwin the last (3) years. Bet your money on him. Carl Froch hired Edwin as sparring parnter in 2010...and stated Edwin was the future on the SMW division. Ronnie Shields took over in 2011...and has Edwin ready for anything Andre can bring.

With that being said I think this will be an easy decision for Ward. I really hope Ward moves up to 175 and HBO sets up a Ward-Kovalev championship fight sometime next year.

Ward could run 168 til his retirement. The only fighter left I care to see Ward in with at 168 is Bute (and I think that will be a tough fight for Ward) Don't let the whole Froch fight cloud your head...... completely different clash of styles
