No real knockdowns from either and the holding from Garcia ruined all possibility of having any exciting back and forth exchanges. It only ended up being okay.

Was Matthysse vs. Garcia a let down?

We need a TV new game show called, "The Blame Game"!
I think that this would be a hit show if the fanatics tuned in or were asked to send in questions, lmao. The entire show would consists of Matthysse, pac, and Margarito questions.
Oh, and of course if you get to the final round which is called Floyd's Round-"Who's At Fault",...and if you win, you win, you win a million dollars, a rope chain, and a TMT Diamond encrusted T-Shirt lol...Last edited by Frank Ducketts; 09-19-2013, 09:13 PM.

I was expecting a War, so i was disappointed in that, but Garcia was smart and effective and Boxed his way to victory. He impressed me, though i had underestimated him, and my standards werent very high for him. Overall, i was happy with it as a Boxing match, but disappointed in not getting a War.

i thought it was entertaining and close enough to warrant a rematch

Don't get me wrong, it was the most exciting fight on the entire PPV card, but I genuinely feel that Matthysse's eye injury robbed us (the fans) of a potentially legendary slugfest that would've ended in one fighter or the other being KTFO'd.
Fight of the night, but it could've been so much more, IMO.Originally posted by El Angel View PostI agree with Bringer, if his eye didn't swell, that could have been an epic slugfest. But it happens, I hope to at some point see a rematch.
Originally posted by puga View Postno , but the ref was a let down ... tony weeks and bayless(as much as i like him ) dont need to be reffing when one fighter's game is more effective on the inside...they put a fighter on a great disadvantage imo...
