Berto or karass aren't canelo as I said in my post it takes 2 top attractions 4 ppv numbers over 2 million. I will admit that I wasn't sure what the gate for canelo-trout but Steve Kim reported that the gate was at 800,000 dollars with 30,000 tickets sold which is about 266,000 per 10,000 tickets so add another 10,000 tickets and that would give u just over 1,000,000 on the gate whereas the mayweather guerrero fight (which apparently flopped did 9.9million).

The point I was making is if there wasn't 2 stars in the fight it wouldn't do the numbers it did.

Great for the sport! The casuals will cry (see pac fans) however, real boxing purists appreciated the great night of boxing that we got.

Great for Alvarez, hopefully this will boost his numbers where one day soon he will reach at least 750K to 1 million in the near future.

In the meantime, the idea that Floyd was going to lose is why it sold. Nobody today without Floyd, will sell 2.2 million PPV's. Especially at $65 and $75 a pop.
